How do you change VLC's settings to cap as jpg rather than png?

It is under tools, preferences, video, video snapshots, format... click on the down arrow and pick jpg

Let me know if that works for you lg.

According to the menu, it's in jpg. According to the file when I took a test cap, it's still in png.

Just the program? No, I honestly didn't think that far.

I can't remember... I just remember I thought the same thing, and then a few days later it was working for me so I assumed it was a refresh thing... either a restart of the program or the computer.
