For those who are married or have have a boyfriend how come this always happens:

Why is it that they always talk about their ex girlfriends and you are not supposed to feel anything but if you talk about past relationships they get pissed off. It gets on my nerves.

It was a typical morning in the life of John Sheppard, one the most resourceful and well trained FBI agents. He had woken up at 5 a.m. and gone for his regular 5 mile run to have then gone back home to shower and dress in one of his most dashing suits. Typically he didn’t give a damn about the way he looked, since he was a naturally good looking man, he was 6’ even with a slender, well toned body, which was equally as muscular. His body alone made women swoon but his face made them mad. One of his ex girlfriends had told him he had eyes bluer than the ocean itself and his co-workers joked that his lopsided smile could make a straight man want to have him. But today was different; he actually wanted to look his best in order to make a good impression on Agent Emmagan. Everyone knew that this man was the best of the best; he had executed espionage missions that where believed to have been impossible even by his own team, he was categorized as the best of the best in hand to hand combat, and was also the highest ranked sniper in world. It had been rumored that he was visiting FBI headquarters in order to find a replacement for his second in command that had been killed in a tragic car accident. And he planned on being that replacement.


As he walked out of the elevator onto the second floor of the FBI building he spotted Rodney McKay with a donut hole in his moth and a jelly filled pastry in one hand. As much as he wanted to ignore him this morning Rodney had already seen him walk in.

“Well look that finally showed up to work on time, if it isn’t Kirk Ladies Man Sheppard, who can make an old women beg and a young girls squeal” was Rodney’s way of saying hi in the morning.

“Bite me” was John’s only response. He was not in the mood of fighting with his best friend who annoyed the living daylights out of him most of the time. Their weird relationship made people ask him why he was friends with the brilliant scientist but truthfully he didn’t have an answer.

“Well what’s wrong, wake up on the wrong side of some pretty lady’s bed this morning?”

“No Rodney I just don’t want to ruin my chances of getting this position with the highest spy agency in the world by getting aggravated at the stupidities you walk around saying” was John’s response.

“So that’s why all you jarheads came looking nice today, you want to kiss this guys butt in order to get the position don’t you” he smirked, “Seriously I bet the guy is a phony, I mean why would he look for a replacement in th FBI, don’t they have secret places where they breed super humans or something like that”

“I don’t know and don’t care Rodney and it wouldn’t hurt to make a good impression on a guy that can give me a job away from you now isn’t!” he retorted. “And for your information I was in the Air force so I’m not jarhead.”

As soon as he finished saying that his boss Agent O’Neil decided it was a wonderful time to walk into their conversation. “Bickering like a married couple again I see, why do you guys just admit you love each other and get married, we aren’t allowed to fire people for being gay anymore”

John couldn’t help but glare at the man and add sarcasm to his voice “Thanks for the advice sir I’ll keep it mind when I decide to come out of the closet but in the mean is their something you need or have you joined McKay and decided to make my life miserable”

“So that’s the gratitude I get for putting the good word for you to my dear old friend Emmagan, I guess I’ll just go and tell the best agent in the world that you have no respect for leadership at all and are not interested in the job”

Ignoring Rodney’s s******ing behind him John worked on sputtering out an apology to his boss.

“Don’t be an idiot and come into my office” was O’Neil’s answer as he turned around and began walking towards his office, noticing Sheppard had not moved he turned back around “Well what are you waiting for, do you want me to carry you or something”

“No sir” was all he could say as he quickly made his way the designated room. As he made his way to the office he could already picture the man that had become an inspiration to him. He could already picture the strong handshake and his strong personality all he was hopping for was that he wasn’t all that bigger than him.

As he walked into the office he got one hell of a surprise. Standing in front of him was the most beautifully stunning woman he had seen. She was about 5’7 with a perfect figure and light brown skin. She had cherry red lips and hazel brown eyes and hair. And boy was he attracted to her, the room seemed to have gone up a couple degrees since he had laid eyes on her.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you Agent Sheppard, I’m Agent Teyla Emmagan and I hear you’d make a wonderful addition to my team” And as soon as she said that and smiled a glorious smile at him he knew he was in trouble.

No time I can get on GW at work but I can't really sit there on PS I only get an hour or so when I get home from work and thats usually catching up on GW and making icons for the challenges, I haven't updated my fic for months either Then when I come back on its at this time of night, and I am lying in bed right now A few months ago I decided to make a Coup sig for myself which I started but decided I needed more caps I finally finished getting caps a week or so ago



Who doesn't want a gold! (Linzi has one! Iz sooo not jealous ) But yeah, probably the basic one I'd probably faint if I actually spoke to JF anyway

Don't get me wrong i get pissed of to because he likes talking about them with his buddies which are also my friends(i hang out with dudes a lot) and everything but in his mind i should be cool with it but if i where to do the same thing he'd flip 180 degrees and be mad at me. But you are right i guess he likes to think that i have always been his but likes to remind me he has had other girls. But you know what screw them!! By the way its messed up the thing with your guy and the girl but don't forget he's with you now and he probably has no feelings beside friendship for that chick

I know what you mean hun. But this issue with me and the boy is age old and isn't going away. Plus, I wrote the story on how things can be "sanctioned" to within the confines of friendship, even though it's not. That story is called Indomitable

It's pretty much all the "One word title" Atlantis stories in between. It's a series of one-shots that are told out of chronological order but actually somehow manage to make sense.

I forgot i had read it before and it is equally as great and lovely as the first time. Can completely relate with teyla except for the whole prego thing. By the way i have always wanted to ask you whats with all the angst in your stories? I have a feeling you like the emotionally whump the pair.

Ah.. the angst. I'm sure there are a lot of people who'd like to know.

1. If it's love, it should be complicated.
2. This is John and Teyla - they have issues.
3. I write mostly at two in the morning when I am at my lowest but most creative, so I write in angst.
4. I also write from experience and although I've never been in the situation described in most of my Atlantis stories, I have (as I believe everyone has) that friend. I have my own 'John Sheppard' - but it didn't work out the first time and it wouldn't work out again but... the feelings are still there.
5. The angst makes it more real, I think. Because these characters have issues, they can't just forget the things that have made them who they are. John has his rules and regulations, his need t keep distance between himself and his friends. And Teyla has her loyalty to her people, the fear in the back of her mind that John will one day have to leave Pegasus, whether by his own volition or not.
6. One of my favourite stories I wrote is part of a... "Five ways John confesses his feelings for Teyla" and my own personal favourite is one that is set in the future and they're on a balcony. She's had Torren, he's going back to Earth and he tells her he loves her. I can't explain why I love it as much as I do because it's not my best written story but when I wrote and then re-read it I was just struck by it. I couldn't believe I'd written it. It was the realistic portrayal of them that got me the most.
7. I write stories I'd like to read and I like to read angst. See when I get to the part of the story where the people get together, I get bored, lol.

So... there's info you didn't know you wanted to know
