John Sheppard/Teyla Emmagan Appreciation/Ship/Discussion Thread

Have they mentioned that for this season there is in fact another

"love interest" for John or are we just commenting on JM's statement cause that sounded to me more what they meant for Jill's character in Season 4 and not necessarily referring to Season 5.

But we all know it's going to happen eventually, anyways.

I really don't get what JM said either...

I mean yeah I think I've read about the whole Jill thing and that Joe liked working with her and such but I don't think I have heard him really say anything that he wanted a love intrest... he seem more against it... and he never wanted a female character only there for love purpose... besides when asked before JM said there wouldn' come anything of it with John and Larrin... I think she was only meant for a tease for him and to be someone for hiim to go up against...because I have to say as a potential love intrest Larrin sucks at it.. all I saw was she wanted to get her way and she used her looks for it.. I never really saw her being intrested in him and frankly he seemed bored and annoyed with her.. and then she made him looks stupid in scenes they were both in ...so if that is a potential love intrest then I rather don't see anyone with him at all...he ha a heck of a more spark with Teyla.. she fits more into the whole deal of not only being a female for love purpose only since she is already established... and she doesn't always see eye to eye with him so it can cause some arguements and stuff... and in a war like they are I see it more as being what Joe wanted for a love intrest..their struggle to be together.. it's not all dance on roses..it's not a walk in the park what they are going through ,,they have to struggle in a war ,,I see way more potential for a couple as them then I would do with John and a random recurring leather clad annoying woman...

I think he was JM referring to Larrin and season 4.

I really don't think it would do any favours to Sheps character if another leather clad babe gets dangled in front of him. Considering how Travellers, Larrin and the so called love interest bombed like a lead balloon, I doubt the ptb would be crazy enough to do down that route again..

Good to hear i didn't hurt you DONNA and it shouldn't matter if your work is not as good as everybody else's.

The important thing is that you should continue to make and post your work the more artwork you make the better you get...at least that's what i think.

if you ask me, I think that John doesn´t really NEED any love interest at all or at least some older one. I guess the John/Teyla ship has sailed with the baby but pairing him with Larrin (the way she´s now) just doesn´t seem right. I agree that she looks too young for the part! But I DO remember an interview with JF where he said that he´s "not really kirking enough" even though there are constantly jokes made about it on the show and that he discussed it with his wife but I don´t think he was suggesting a character like Larrin. Considered his past choices, it seems a bit of an insult to the character of Sheppard! I´d love to see him hook up with Teyla, or - second choice- his ex! But not with a girl who has yet to mature and actually show some character.

Though, I gotta admit re JM blog

it´s nice that he added the "same amount of infirmary time" confirmation, I guess that means that parts of the planned and now shelved "Hexed" Shep whump ep will be leaked into the others ones and so there won´t be any need for "Hexed" anymore ....
