I don't get the impression they "rewrote" the SG-1 episode. It seems more like they had the idea for the Rodney-underwater-in-the-jumper ep and then saw an opportunity to bring Sam into it and eventually spoiled us with the hint that it shares certain aspects with the SG-1 ep. I don't think they sat down and said how can we copy this SG-1 ep and have a special guest appearance by Amanda Tapping at the same time?

And even if by some wild chance, they did do that, it doesn't matter a hill of beans to me. I trust the Atlantis writers to put a fresh spin on a good idea. Goodness knows all stories are rip-offs of other stories and it's writerly talent that makes a story seem fresh and interesting.

How is that in any way shape or form a spoiler? This is the basic outline of the episode not a spoiler! Not to mention the fact that 95% of that post was pure speculation not fact. Yes I admit some posts here are a little spoilery without tags but this one IMO is not one.

He looks much younger on that pic for some reason. In fact, it almost doesn't look like it's Rodney on that pic, don't you think? It's probably the angle/light.
The raised/stubborn chin is very McKayish though!

Solid, that's the word I was searching for when I wrote my post!
Toned is good but too much muscle can get scary, IMO (that's what you meant about MS, McKay's Girl? The man looks more like a bodybuilder than an archeologist now)

David? You read this? Don't change! Don't let anyone tell you that you'd have to lose weight! You're perfect the way you are, and it's wonderful that you aren't a part of the vast number of standard pretty boys that can be seen nearly everywhere nowadays. You're much more interesting than these average guys because you are so very special! You have your own personality and I think you are a beautiful man!
