*Where* is everybody? Out having fun I guess!

No studying, and for a short while last night sleeping. I did take 30 mins out to bath my cats but I wouldn't call being scratched by wet fur balls fun.

In fact I'll have a job until the end of 2007! That's great of course, but the bad news is that it's again something completely different from what I've been doing for the last four months or the four months before that. I'll be the head of our customer service, and I know nothing about that yet.

Congrats on the work, and as I keep telling myself lately, they wouldn't give you the position if they didn't think you could do it. Although I understand you probably feel uncertain atm especially if no one bothered to tell you what the new position would mean. These people are professionals right? Anyway good luck.

Hey, leelakin, please stay! Don't take this personal! Not to quote a pic with its URL is simply a no-no, but if you didn't know it before then it's not really a biggie, because now you do, and you edited your post, that's all that counts. We all learnt it when someone else told us about it, I for my part did it wrong once, too. And it's better someone tells you about it before someone else reds you.
And the Phil Collins thing - well, it's been discussed here before and not everyone likes this comparism. You couldn't know that of course, it's just that a sentence like that in a thread you've never been to before and where no-one knows you, can easily be misinterpreted as being anti-Rodney. So maybe it just wasn't the best thing to say when you didn't even say hello before, especially since this thread is strictly pro McKay (and there are enough morons out there who hate McKay and have nothing better to do then to state that again and again). But all kinds of fans are more than welcome here, those people who love RM/DH or just like him or find him interesting or sexy or whatever, so please don't leave and celebrate the Rodney love with us!

Oh, they did tell me what I'd have to do in my new job, but they told me only yesterday, when they offered me the job. I'll have until the end of the year to learn everything about it, with the help of one person who'll leave the customer service at the end of December.


I just watched "The Siege 1+2" with Ma. She's devastated because of the cliffhanger. Sheppard wants to sacrifice himself, and she has to wait until March to see what will happen!

I love Rodney in this ep when he is so concerned about John and fears for his life, or when he wants to get Grodin out of that satellite no matter what, or when he's so incredibly exhausted but tries to keeps going in order to save the city and 'his family'.

When he's finished working on the nuke and rests his head on his arms I said out loud "poor darling is exhausted", and Ma said "Awwww!" with lots of pity in her voice, as if he was a poor, small boy that needs a hug. Very sweet!

I also told her about slashfanfic and about the couple that is the OTP for most of the SGA slashfans (including me) - McShep. What can I say apart from 'I love my Mum', because she didn't comment on the slash-thing or the fact that I read/write it at all, she just said: "Hmmm, these two? Well, no, I don't think so, I don't see that."
Ok, I can live with that.

Good news for German Stargate fans today, obviously we'll get to see a special SGA 3-D movie in a theme park next year, which has been made with the original cast (I wrote more about that here). Maybe some actors will even be there for the opening ceremony. I hope this will happen, then I'll go to this theme park, that's for sure.

Well, just watched "The Return 2". Liked it a lot (lots of funny moments) but I still prefer the first part (more wonderful team moments).

Finally, Rodney got praise ! I let out a "Woohhoo" when Elizabeth said "Rodney: amazing !" And I was so proud when Rodney answered "Group effort". So okay, it was obvious he did have some trouble saying it, but he did say it. Back in the early days, he would never have.
Did I mention I love this man more and more? And that he was particularly good looking in that ep?
I also liked the "Not again" comment when the jumper starts to get flooded. Poor Rodney!
Am I the only one who nearly wept when Carson destroyed the star drive? I was like "Oh no, the city will never fly again" because I knew the Replicators weren't going to have time to repair it

I just have to go to P2, I won't survive if I can't go now that everything's planned, booked, and now that I know how great cons are and well, David is there!!! Actually it shouldn't have been a problem to get three days off at that time if I had kept the job I have at the moment. But I'll be working for the customer service then, and our new semester will start a week before the con. That means we'll be very busy then. But I have to see David! I have to!
