I spent last night at my old high school's football game where they lost by 3 points, but it was Homecoming and it was nice to be back.

And it looks like I'm going to be putting in a significant amount of overtime in the next couple of months, but some of the times that I need to be there, I won't have much to do, so I'm bringing my laptop with me. Mwah ha ha.

And in other news, there is a QB John plot bunny that has been seen on the loose.

Question - Game of Thrones? Yea or nay?

Yyyyyynnnnnnnnnnnn- I don't know. I was really into it for a while, but if you don't bond with exactly the right characters in exactly the right way, you're screwed. I definitely wouldn't recommend it based on liking SGA, especially seasons 1-3, but there's no reason a person can't like both SGA and darker shows. And expect this one to be much darker.

I will say this. On gateworld, I sometimes find myself defending parts of season 4 and 5. Be they the darker tone or even in some cases having characters leave the cast if the story is right. Game of Thrones is such that I often find myself in the exact opposite position.

Question - Game of Thrones? Yea or nay?

A "Yea" from me. But like Infinite-Possibilities said, you really need to bond with the right characters. Of course, I also like the medieval/fantasy genre as a rule, so GoT is right up my alley. Just be aware of

the gratuitous nudity and poor treatment of women throughout the series (though to be fair, there's also lots of female empowerment too, so I think it ultimately balances out).

I've learned the hard way. Never watching the show or reading the books. One of my main reasons is that I don't like the way he treats certain families as meat shields!
