I remember there being quite a few AUs with a supernatural theme. There was a mutant AU, and I clearly recall this story with vampires and werewolves. I must confess they were not my favorite. I was more into spies and period AUs, but all in all there was (and it still is) so much creativity, you could find pretty much anything.

There are a few but they are either incomplete (and abandoned) or complete and not the best written, IMHO.

Luckily, for me, most of my favorite stories were finished or were self-contained. But yeah, when the show went down the drain a lot of people lost their fannish drive and there are a lot of unfinished stories as a result. Most of the authors I read were Elizabeth fans and I can't blame them for not feeling up to it anymore.

That's unfortunate, most of my favourite authors just kind of dropped off the radar after all the bts drama kind of killed everyone's buzz. As I said, I'm lucky because most of my favourite stories got finished, including this humongous magnificent renaissance AU.

The entire fic is there, you have to go to the very first entry and start from there. The first story is Ascension of the Queen. I think it has pretty much every SGA and SG1 character in it but the focus is on Sheppard/Weir and omg, it's amazing.

Some of us here followed this fic religiously and posted a link each time it was updated, so it's a thread fave.

There are tons of good fics over at Command Dynamics with several ways to search. There are some duds on there too, so you just have to try one and see if you like it. Anything by Shane Vansen, Oparu or Irony_Rocks are good bets, as are many others. Search under "Series" for a look at AUs.

You are indeed lucky. Half of my all-time favorite stories are abandoned WIPs that end on a cliffhanger.

Good morning, everybody! We've been having some interesting weather here in Florida for the past couple of days -- tornadoes, waterspouts, freak lightening storms, you name it. One bolt of lightening took out the cable in our neighborhood this morning. It should be fixed in a few hours, though.

OMG, yes. And I agree with SR. Every time that a new chapter was published, I'd drop whatever I was doing and run over to read it. Very addicting. In a good way.
