I wasn't around when the stargate franchise first started up, but my dad got me hooked on Atlantis last year, and, consequently, I became a HUGE sparky shipper. I just love these two. You can just SEE little bits of chemistry floating around in their scenes.
Anyway...I was going to read the whole thread before posting...I only made it about 900 pages. I got too excited.
But I hope I'll have a blast here, you guys are a hoot.
I swear, this was supposed to be a short post

Welcome. You made a valiant effort to read the entire thread. If you continue, you will see that Sparky had quite a large following back in the day. They still do, actually, because this thread is just the tip of the iceberg.

I was curious when MentallyUnstableFox posted about reading the thread up to 900 pages, so I went and checked what was going on. Oh dear. At that point we were in full out squee mode because TLG was showing that night in the UK and we were about to hit 1000 pages. We were all waiting on baited breath for reports and expecting much more than we got. But we got past it and look where we are now. That was also one of the times that TPTB shot themselves in the foot with teasing the ships.

Yeah, one of my biggest regrets that didn't involve Sparky about SGA was that they cut that scene between Joe and Paul. I would have paid to see John blow Carson's nose for him. *dies*

Golf is an interesting sport. I've had a couple of chances to play it myself. I am okay at putting but can't drive the ball to save my life. The guy I was playing a round with resorted to picking up my ball and throwing it towards the hole.

I don't think I was around at page 900, I can't remember that. I was in and out anyway... but it was also a time when my other threads were in fact active so... I mean, Kate was still alive then...

No really, I'm so excited cause I received the limited edition Halo 4 boxset today as a gift from Microsoft Belgium and the store where my friend and I were doing a Halo costuming showcase... well he was doing a Masterchief while I made sure his armor was assembled correctly and to take off his helmet cause he can't actually perform that action by himself. And taking pictures of course and watching people looking amazed and stunned at him. And watching kids work up the courage to shake his hand.

I'm not sure. It's around 20+ chapters and I'm only about 3/4 of the way through it. Since I've been jumping around some while writing it, I really need to reread it straight through for continuity and probably find a really good beta for it. Then I can tackle the Star Wars, Castle and Warehouse 13 spinoffs I've been thinking about for it.
