Something that I've been wondering: What exactly is a lemming?

I'm a lemming... I look like this.

I am sure FH will tell us if I'm wrong but I believe they are small rodent creatures in real life.

True that, just like the one on Kate's shoulder.

Although for the longest time I thought they were just these things.

Also correct, and these guys were used as mascottes for the Shrill and Ill-Informed Lemming movement here on GW a few years ago.

mom "don't be a child. Where are the dvds?"
Me: "In the closet. But mom. I 'm sick. You sure you want to stay in the same room?"
Mom "For Lorne, I'm ready to fight my worse nightmare".

I don't know how to take this. Her nightmare is to be in the same room of me or in the same room of a sick person...?

Speaking of fic, for all the newbies, here's a favourite of mine. And no, not because I'm mentioned in the credits (I'm somewhat embarrassed about that - it's like saying "draw a hill" to an artist, followed by them painting mount everest). This fic is by our very own, Eri13, who is also a writer for SGA Rising. I do recall a particularly good lumberjack fic by SR, and there's a myriad of fics by the prolific Anuna. There are many, many, others. I tend not to read them (hence SGA Rising has been a revelation to me, lol) due to time commitments, so I'm probably not the best person to be reccing stuff *cough*Scary Kitty*cough* (NB: if you haven't read ep2 of sga rising, what are you waiting for??)

I know that's one of Eri13's favorite scenes. It's one of those picture-says-a-thousand-words moments

I don’t blame her, it’s such a fun and great scene and Torri and Kavan work really well together which you can see even more in 2010’s ‘The Cult’.

She's nice. She brought me a hot chocolate. She's a lovely lady and she's my mommy.

I love the fact you said "Your french mom". I almost thought I have a mom in each country and I forgot she's the real one.lol

My mom says "Sheppard is with Elizabeth. We can't fight for him. He's not single."

That’s awesome and she’s so right about that. Elizabeth would give anyone who even tried the same “evil-eye” look she gave Lorne in that scene I just mentioned.

As for me, I'm not nearly as prolific a writer as a lot of others. I guess I'm having too much fun reading everyone else's stuff. LOL! But I've always liked how this one turned out...

Congrats to your USC boys, and did I see that Air Force is playing Navy? John and the Marines will really enjoy that one. My Hokies play UNC today, which is quite a full day for me. Mr. SR and I just finished putting the last piece of chair rail up in the bathroom we are remodeling, except for that one stubborn 1 7/8 in piece that we just can't get the corner angle right on. Damn geometry. After football we're driving down to Annapolis to a birthday party for our friend from Dallas. That's right. They are in town for the boat show and her husband is throwing her a surprise birthday party. I've heard of destination weddings but this is my first destination birthday party. Anyway, we'll be back late so you won't see much of me today. Hope everyone has a great saturday.

Oh, and that Broken Arrow fic is the only one I've written that actually makes me blush.

John and the Marines are probably going nuts over the Air Force vs. Navy game... They're tied at 21 with 11 seconds left in the 4th quarter, AF has the ball, and it looks like they're going for a field goal!
