Anyway, once upon a time I used to take it upon myself go madly cap everything. I didn't always succeed, but I had good fun doing it. So when I finally watched Kindred Pt 1 today, I bet Jersey130 that I could make more than 25 caps of the final scene.

It still doesn't get into my head why on earth they would have wanted to rid themselves of the best thing their show had. Having good characters is one thing but having only good individuals by far isn't enough to hook the audience. There is one thing that is so much more important than every single character on their own, being a TEAM. No matter how intriguing or likeable each character is, it all fades into insignificance when these characters don't add up to be more than the sum of their parts. Just like not everyone who is excellent at something is a team player. And that rings true both in front and behind the camera.

Chemistry and dynamic aren't things you can artificially generate; you either have it or you don't. The team in seasons two and three most definitely did have it but it was mindlessly destroyed in one fell swoop when they successively ditched Beckett and Weir, then later acting up like nothing ever happened.

Sometimes sacrificing your most precious possession to the ratings God will do nothing for you than leave you bereft of that precious thing you ought to have protected.

.: That's probably the one thing that bothers me a lot is the cast changes, which is why I have been so tuned off by season four and am only planning to tune in for Carson episodes in season five (and any others that may catch my attention). The fact that Carson was killed (And Elizabeth MIA) is one thing, but it irks me especially regarding the lack of folow-through. The characters didn't have to even cry or mention there names every episode; I was just looking for subtle change amoungst the remaining four (especially Rodney), even if it didn't take any words.

.: However, it seems that 'Submersion' and 'Vengeance' could have taken place while Carson was still alive. Elizabeth was mentioned only twice after the episode she went MIA until the first half of the mideason 'two-parter'. (I put 'two-parter' in quotes since neither seemsed connected in any way). The fact that the new 'family' with Carter and Keller is constantly forced ticks me off to no end.

.: They've really lost something in SGA by the cast changes, just when the cast had gelled toether and I was hoping they could further advance stories and team bonding. And it all changed with one episode. Sorry if I'm acting so negative, I feel a bit apathetic about SGA at the moment at it is known to be contagious
