Actually, one of my OC Queens is supposed to be Todd's sister, and does at one point mention something about how, if Todd had been female, he'd have been the perfect Queen. I'm not sure how he felt about that, though.
He would have been quite the most remarkable Queen. But... he's so very gorgeous, and lethally male that I luffs him just as he is. *shivers* BEWT-i-ful!
Wisp, my OC, is one of the scientists on Todd's hive, because I originally created him just as a random background character. And then he took on a personality. He's a vindictive, snarky little primadonna of a Wraith who likes to do crafts and, while capable of filling many scientific roles, is mainly a bioengineer specialising in neuroscience. He once skipped hibernation to perform brain surgery on himself trying to increase his mental powers, which has become something of a running joke. Needless to say, he can always use more test subjects, and human brains fascinate him. Unfortunately, Todd is reluctant to let him lobotomize any of the members of the Atlantis expedition, because they'd probably take offense and he'd rather have them as allies as long as they're useful. Wisp thinks he's being a bit unreasonable, because surely they wouldn't miss just one little human?
I definitely adore Todd just the way he is. The only thing I'd want to change would be the whole "not real" thing. Though it'd be interesting to do a one-shot AU with a female Todd, or just the gender swap one, where it'd be temporary, and so much fun. Especially considering how easily Wraith Queens mess with certain members of the Atlantis expedition. *eyes Sheppard*
Some centuries, it just doesn't pay to get out of hibernation...
Definitely an interesting little preview there. I'm fairly sure that treatment of worshippers vary with hive, as well as from Wraith to Wraith. But there is always going to be a catch for the worshippers, isn't there?
It's definitely whetting my appetite, too. My life is sadly lacking in Wraithiness right now, even if I'm currently re-watching the show. Just started season four, so the stupid replicators are getting in the way of my Wraith. At least Todd will be back soon, which will certainly make my life better for a while.
Re-watching gives me time to do art-stuff, too. So I put some colour on my knitting Wraith drawing. That'd be Wisp, incidentally, the OC I mentioned a few posts back. The background is terrible, but I was kind of focusing on Wisp. And the tea cup, which was ridiculously fun to draw.

For all that I knit all the time, drawing someone knitting is difficult. Especially socks. All those needles!
I love the idea of a big, scary creature like a Wraith doing something as mundane as knitting. Besides, knitting is very soothing when you know what you're doing, and I'm sure the Wraith could benefit from that. And from knitwear. Especially sparkly ones, yes.
Wisp would love sparkly yarn, too. Bit of a magpie, that one.

So... I'm trusting all you wraith-loving folks to help me boot her up the rear end, it's been way too long since some of us have put fingers to keyboard, and I think I have to include Izzy in that category, whether in worship of the Wraith, or other projects matter's not... so... How about we all do NaNo this year, see what new 'Wraith' story lines we can come up with between us. Wouldn't that open up new discussions in the wilderness after 2 years without the show!?
He looks sweet and I love the Iratus bug on his shoulder.
We've never seen Wraith wearing anything that could be a knitted garment. This suggests that they only knit socks.
Wisp likes his pet Iratus. It keeps those noisy Earth humans at a distance.
Well, socks are one of the most useful knit items, especially with those heavy boots Wraith wears. Though we haven't really seen any Wraith on ice planets, have we? So for all we know, they could all wear knitted scarves and fluffy sweaters. Wouldn't it be an amusing sight to have an entire Hive wearing these?

The fish hat is very cute! I definitely think there ought to be a hive with fish hats!
