Atlantis Rising: The Virtual Series uses her in a similar extent, and the authors made it quite interesting. Although she's only in the first 2 episodes if I remember correctly.

I liked her, but I'm glad Woolsey took over instead. Still, I would have liked it if she appeared on the series again. An episode featuring her could have easily replaced one of the less interesting episodes of season 5. Sorry if anyone liked season 5 just as it was.
Yes, she really did fill an important role there. I didn't understand why they didn't think a psychologist was needed after she was gone. Seasons 4 and 5 were arguably more distressing than the first 3.
