Oh please Lorne and Bates aren't anything alike. I liked Bates and was disapointed he got written out. He had a lot of great potantial as a character but he's gone now and he's not coming back. Lorne has potantial too and it's nice to see a military man with a personality around Atlantis.

The nice thing about Lorne fans is that we're secure enough in our love for the character that we don't have to troll around bashing other characters ON THEIR THUNK THREADS in order to make our own guy look better. Or just because we're bitter and miserable and want to piss folks off.

I still think Lorne's one of the best things to happen to S2. And in a season of bleah, I'll take every good thing I can find. ...Take it and run off to my room to do things...
