Major Lorne/Kavan Smith Thunk Thread

me no have the guts.. espeacially since last week a freind's freind had an impromptu teleconfernece with several members of the cast and the friend mentioned something about her comp being named RAdek, and then proceeded to say she wasn't alone since i named mine lorne.. so um.. yeah.. the cast knows more than i'd like them to know.. (and yes it happened, i can't say more as she would like to keep her anninimity)

Sweet, I'll start my brainstorming now ... i'm a slight perfectionist when it comes to writing anything so um ... yeah LOL! it might take me awhile hehe ... but I've wanted to write to him ever since I started the fan site *shrugs* it's just something I do, i guess lol

That's so neat. I know no actors at all. The closes I think I am to knowing someone who was on TV was that my grandma knows Omarosa from the Apprentice because she's from her home town.

I'm hoping to try and call the 24 fan phone sometime but I've heard it's pretty hard to get someone. The 24 fan phone by the way was when one of the props people on 24 used their own cell phone in an ep and the number can up on the phone on screen. Someone freezeframed it and called the number and actually got ahold of the cast and crew of 24 while they were filming! So people have been trying to call it ever since and sometimes you can get lucky and talk to someone on set.

Anyway... that is a bit off topic. Nici, can you tell us about Kavan's roll in Mixed Blessings?

You know what CM? I've been thinking for a while about this and I think I just might take your advise and change my fic so Lorne will have the gene naturally instead of just gene therapy. Your fic really changed my mind and it would make my Coup D'etat chapters so much more angsty.

I was freakin' mad when I thought they just killed off Lorne, but good thing they didn't or I would have gone trigger happy.......I'm not fun to be around when I'm trigger happy.....

Strangest thing....I actually met him once when I was 12 like 2 years ago....2 years after I came to the US. Had a intelligent conversation with him.....like a regular conversation with friends.....he was so nice.....sweetest dude I ever met.....he give me a hug when he had to leave......

When I first saw Runner....I was like....hey I recognize that guy from somewhere.....OMG it's Kavan Smith.....the rest is history........his character is my favorite on Atlantis....

Aw, I can't wait to read the next chapters! My theory on him having the gene naturally is that if he's Second in Command, having the gene would have been one of the main reasons why they recruited him. True, they could have had him for the first season then, but hey, it's the writer's choice. I think it makes more sense, and I'm glad you agree!

Anyway... that is a bit off topic. Nici, can you tell us about Kavan's roll in Mixed Blessings?

His role really wasn't much. Ok, the movie follows three couples who want to start a family. One of the couples were the older couple, had a daughter. That daughter was married to Kavan's character Tommy. His only lines are in the baby scene (which reminds me, I'm still gonna make a video clip for y'all of that scene! hehe) ... other than that, there is absolutely no reason to watch this movie. I was practically sleeping when Kav wasn't on. LOL!
