Starship Troopers 2 is awful, just awful, however Starship Troopers 3 is worth a viewing. My advice: pretend #2 doesn't exist.

It's not without its faults, but you have to buy into the premise. The first film is a WWII movie. "Hero of the Federation" is a Korean War movie. And "Marauder" is basically "The Green Berets" in space.

Robot Jox. Since I won't be seeing Pacific Rim until it's on DVD, I thought I'd go for that other live-action giant fighting robot film.

It's a terrible, dated B-movie with awful pacing and writing. Still sorta fun though...
And now it's time for one last bow, like all your other selves. Eleven's hour is over now... the clock is striking Twelve's.

I haven't read the books, so I wasn't bothered by the vast differences mentioned in reviews. But, I will agree that some of the dialogue was rather cheesy--almost cheesier than the Star Wars prequels.

I did like the dragon, though I wish he had more of a role. In fact, from the blurb on the back, I was expecting more dragons, playing a much larger role. I would have liked the movie much more, even with the cheesy dialogue and cheesy visual effects, had the plot dealt more with the dragons and less--much less, like not at all--with the whole Gibbeth creature "subplot".

I also liked Amanda Tapping's appearance, but again, I wish it was more prominent. It was much too brief, with all of one line.

Pacific Rim is a great movie and well worth seeing in theaters.

G.I. Joe - Retaliation. Not a good movie.

If I'm honest, I preferred it to G.I. Joe: The Rise of Corba.

An interesting sci fi movie if you're into issues about medical ethics, cloning, and what defines a person..so forth. Plus tons of action scenes (Arnold Schwarzenegger) Awesome movie. 9/10

Tom Thumb (1959) (more of a fairy tale, actually, but I see those around here)

                            Dinosaurus! (1960)

Great classic movies. Great showcases of what they were able to accomplish in the late '50s without computers.

Oh, and there's a very familiar scene in Dinosaurus! with the T-Rex smashing a bus.
