    No idea. But the guy who made it has a Facebook page here - https://www.facebook.com/JohnSmithVFX. He may elaborate on what he used in a few days.

    He says he is a "VFX Artist/Director. I make YouTube videos, mostly about Doctor Who." In a post (26th April) a bit further down the page, he does say that he doesn't work on Doctor Who itself.

    My aim with this trailer was to capture the more 'magical' side of the show, rather than the dark-and-gritty approach I usually take. I used After Effects, Maya, Mudbox, and Premiere.
    He is also the same guy who made that brilliant Weeping Angels vid.

        Blimey, that Weeping Angel vid is just... wow. Chilling, and fantastically well done.

                BBC One wins Eurovision Connect Award

                BBC One have won the Eurovision Connect award for Best promotion for a Fictional Programme for its work promoting Doctor Who's 50th Anniversary episode.

                The award was announced at the Eurovision Connect Conference in Vienna, Austria. The conference is organised by the European Broadcasting Union and brings together about 140 professionals from Public Service Broadcasters throughout Europe.

                The Day of the Doctor was broadcast simultaneously aroung the world in 94 countries. It achieved the Guinness World Record for the largest ever simulcast of a TV drama.

                BBC One also won the Best promotion for an Entertainment Programme/Event for The Voice.

                      I know about it. It's great that the older episodes are being shown somewhere on TV.


                      Here are a few pics from filming.

                      When I first saw this pic I honestly thought it was from the 1970s and was of Jon Pertwee. Link only as the picture is too large for GW rules. No spoilers.

                      Is that Clara's book (101 Places to See) that Jenna is holding? Of course, it might have been made by the fan, who wanted Jenna to sign it.

                      Edit - Actually having had a look at a screencap of the book, it isn't the same. So perhaps it does belong to the fan.
