Q (Q Continuum)

Star trek was never meant to be anything deep. Rodenberry simply saw it as a western in space. Which is why the writing was not that in depth until latter on, and even then it's still pretty moderate as far as tv shows go until you get to some DS9 and Voyager episodes. I never did understand how the Q fit into anything.

I think the Q were the "mischief-makers" of this space western

Q may be omnipotent in later episodes, but he starts out as a run-of-the-mill super entity. I mean, he actually has to fly at warp speed to catch up with the Enterprise!

I don't think he did that because that was his limitation but did it to intimidate the E-D.

I wish we got to learn more about her race. I was annoyed, I watched her first episode hoping to get back story and she just appears and everyone already knows her.
