Must be very nice watching it for the first time
I did about 4 re-watches already. I just hate that it got cancelled!
Other than it being a superb show it motivates me to work ... Nan huh? What?!
Im a scientiest working in a university .. which sounds all glamourous but most of the times its just staring at data trying to find a connection that often isn't even there...
For some reason when I watch Sanctuary I get motivated to work (cause If anything I need to TRY to be as awsome as Magnus).

I love the show, I really do. Helen Magnus is such a wonderful, strong, intelligent, beautiful woman and I just can't enough of watching her work
I understand why it motivates you to be better at what you do - Sam Carter has been a huge inspiration to me on many levels I have a friend who doesn't understand how a fictional character can mean that much to me: "it's not real", as she puts it. Oh well, the feelings Sam stirs in me are pretty real, that's all that matters to me
