Television Review: Sanctuary Season 2
November 3rd, 2009
Categories: John J. Joex, Reviews, Television Reviews
Sanctuary has not elevated itself above middle-of-the-road status yet.
By John J. Joex
SyFy, Fridays 10 PM EST
Rating: 2 ½ out of 5 Stars (after four episodes)
(THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SOME SPOILERS)
SyFy’s Sanctuary came to television last year (after a brief stint as a web-series) and tells the story of a network of “Sanctuaries” headed up by the 150+ year old Dr. Helen Magnus (Amanda Tapping). These institutions act as a refuge for “abnormals”, evolutionary offshoots that possess extraordinary powers. Some of these creatures come to the Sanctuaries willingly, while other, more violent abnormals are imprisoned there because of their dangerous nature.
