it's a who genre called "real-person-fiction/story" aka RPF/S.... i've read a few, and some of them are absolutely laughable, but some of them are really well written and porny and just makes me feel absolutely disgusted.... then there's RPf pairings that are okay.... for example, there's a TH/Loki pairing that's not too bad

Ah. I wouldn't even want the actor to read some of what I write about his/her characters. I'm not writing about the actors except as a plot device to sometimes inject humor into a story. (Case in point, the mention of Kavan Smith in a fic featuring Sheppard and Lorne.)

I think the main thing for me at least, is that we don't know anything about the actor's life. What we see from interviews is merely a projection of what they want us to see and think and at a very basic level, an RPF is a presumption of what the actor's life/personality/bedroom activity might be like. I can't...just can't imagine reading an adulterous fic about say, Kavan Smith and his publicist as imagined by a fan writer...especially if he's married in real life.

Still makes me cringe.

i agree... the fics that i read were a long, long time ago, when i was like 16.... at the time, i was like "oh hey, new genre.... eh not very interesting...." but as i got older, i realised just what an invasion of privacy it was and now i just pass them over if i see them.... i haven't read any Loki/TH fics, but i have seen that pairing tag over on AO3 and it's not exactly popular, but it does have a following.... from the summaries i've read of those stories, it happens along the lines of Loki finding out about the how he's a movie character in an alternate universe and wants to meet the mortal who presumes he can play him.... which is more fiction that reality.... still not my cup of tea, tho.... i mean i don't the occasional twin!fantasy fic or even LMD fics, but only as PWPs

Now a fic with that plotline could work, but just as a character piece. How Tom justifies his portrayal of a "god" such as Loki. Nothing more than that though.

they do a special prerelease for anticipated big movies in select cities... or atleast they do in the states.... also release dates can and often do vary depending on which side of the pond you live on....

It always makes images a lot fuzzier than they originally are. I end up shapening like crazy, which makes them worse. Now, i'm using a noise reduction filter, it's a bit better.
