bittersweet news.... on one hand: yay! single hunk! on the other hand: divorce is very emotionally draining, the poor baby!

I would be lying if I said my first thought was "He's single again!"

The first thing that came to mind was his daughter and how this will affect her, coming as I do from a "broken" home. It's safe to say that my wish to remain single and childless has it's roots in the nasty divorce my siblings and I went through. Thirty years later, they were still fighting when they ran into each other. When they had to be together for my nephew's wedding, I told them that if they caused trouble at the wedding, I would take them out on the highway and leave them on the side of the road to make their way back. The kickers (yes plural): It was raining. Not just cats and dogs. Elephants and whales! And they knew I was serious. End result: The wedding went off without any major incidents.

i think that's one way kids of famous ppl benefit.... if the parents throw a big spectacle about their divorce, the kids usually end up getting hounded by paps and social rags.... they try harder to make their divorces amicable b/c divorce is hard enough on kids without having no scruple reporters trying to poke the badger.... i mean think about, when was the last time you heard about a celebrity couple with kids have a nasty divorce?
