Farscape Re-Watch

I'm currently doing the re-watch of the series. I'm on season 2 and I just finished watching episode 14 - beware of dog. I really enjoyed watching this episode, I had forgotten all about the Vork. I wish they could've got some to keep around Moya cuz those things are awesome.

Season 2 is probably my favorite season because I like all the characters involved and the way they interact.

For me it's not really because I can't follow them or anything, it's just a mild form of OCD or something. Sometimes I will throw in PKW, but even then I usually feel the need to watch the final episode first...and, of course, that spirals into wanting to see everything in the intro the the finale.

Same for me. I mean, it's a re-watch after all... I know the overall story-arc. I just can't seem to stand watching them out of order. *shrugs*

Darn job is really cutting into my TV time, though.

Season 2 is before it got kinda dark, isn't it? I think I'd probably agree then. I haven't seen it since it aired, so I don't even remember my favorite season. Yup, definitely in need of a re-watch. Usually my favorite season = the season I'm currently watching.

I think the show is still "dark" in season 2 as well. However, it does get increasingly weird in seasons 3 and 4, but that's what made it such a great show. What really blows up in season 3 is the whole wormholes and Scorpius thing.

I love how they shape Scorpius, one of the best "villains" I've seen.

Definitely. Sometimes I think shows go too far, or try to hard, to be sympathetic to the bad guys, but Scorpy was done so well.

Scorpius was done very well. IMO, they really struck gold with that character.

I bit the bullet today, and watched Dedalus Demands and Icarus Abides, the next two episodes in my Farscape rewatch! Man, that's good tv! I cried again!

My father visited at the very end of Icarus Abides and was very confused. Our conversation went something like this...

(that's me)
(that's my dad)

: Is this the end of the series?
: Nope
: Has he gone blind?
: Nope
: oh, I get it...he's got to leave to do Stargate...

ah, dads...gotta love 'em!
