I hope somebody knows the name!
I can’t tell you the title of the piece, but the composer is Bear McCreary who does the score for each episode of BSG. That may have been the 10 minute piece that he was talking about scoring for the season finale.

It ought to be included on the season 2 soundtrack for BSG when it’s released in June.
      IMO always implied.

This episode proves the Sci-Fi should honor their top rated show by having ONE 4 hour season finale for each season period. I still have no Idea what plan the Cylons are suppose to have. They spent too much time with the giggling election political thing, I want more explosions! This ep will have more meaning next week and may move up in my personal rankings after looking back over everything. The acting with Brother Cavell was superb. I however was disturbed by his " I've never seen you at any of the Meetings" comment. It's the same thing Six told Baltar about Doral in the Mini. It's one of those catch phrases that immediately raised my eyebrow..Hmmmm? The bad jump to the Nebula planet also raises my concerns because once again it reminds me of the bad jump plotted by Lt. Gaeta to Kobol. I believe that Lt. Gaeta is a Cylon and anything he touches I'll always watch with close scrutiny.

WOW that Cally can sure take a punch poor babie! Tyrol should spend the next season making it up to her. The HALO scenes with the Raptors were simply Jaw dropping and so is RACETRACK ! This episode was over too fast and seemed to last only about 30 minutes. For visual effects the Raptor re-entry scene ranks among my top ten as far a the episode it's somewhere around Black Market quality.

Note to deck all deck hands "DON'T WAKE THE CHIEF!"

Well I was completely GLUED to my TV for this episode...

          * WOW Aaron Douglas...he is fantastic!!! no metter what he was doing on that screen I felt it. The pain, the anger, the anguish...what an incredible performance by this man!!!!

*Dean Stockwell - as many have said EXCELLENT choice for the Priest... he was supurb! and I love *Dead pan sarcasm* and he had it in spades

*Adama and Roslin were just hilarious and it made them so *real*
*Roslin getting in Baltar's face...Gads that was just awesome

*Baltar and Zerak....now these are guys you just LOVE to Hate

*Sharon.. Kudos to the TPTB for making me feel so sad for this woman...forgetting that she is a cylon and fighting through her very nature to help and her own anger/hate/depression Kudos to Grace Park as well great performance!

*Kara kicking butt...nice to see my favorite character doing things she KNOWS she is good at and feeling confident

*Loved the scene between Kara and Lee he KNOWS she is running from him to anyone else and lets her go. and Kara KNOWS she is running but can't stop herself.

*All the special FX were great as always!!

Overall I think this was an excellent *Build-up* episode and I too was SO annoyed at Sci-Fi for ONCE AGAIN giving way too much away in the promos... *Slaps promo people* But I will still watch of course
Life is short, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, And live out loud with no regrets..

I too want more explosions, I also Think Cally can take a good punch to the face, thought the episode was over too fast and also agree that Gaeta's a little shady. So...were in agreement. Yay for us!

No I didn't mean to glorify the physical violence against Cally in anyway. Most men on the flight deck would have been knocked out cold on the third punch. At first I though he'd killed her. I'm attached to these characters and hated to see that happen to her. I was relieved to hear she was still alive. Next season they should let her carry pepper spray and wear a sidearm just in case Tyrol gets the urge to do something like this for the fourth time. Oh yeah he's done this before remember with Helo on the flight deck and he had a giant crescent wrench in his hand. Did I mention he's killed *Lt. Thorn out of pure rage? Tyrol is out of control. I disliked the brutal HBO quality beat down of Cally and I know the scene was put there for a good reason. I hope we'll find out why it had to be that violent. Any man that attacks a woman like that during a dream or wide awake is a looser and should be taught a lesson. If I was Admiral Adama instead of Brother Cavell I would have ordered a fresh bar of soap called in Specialist Gage and Verine and let them work with his aggression problems....real slow.

*Lt. Thorn deserved to die! Tryol gets a pass for that one.

I know but I'm all about glorifying physical violence against Cally. The "aww shucks" sweetness routine was getting old! Time for some sunshine and rainbows to get knocked outa her!

Given Tyrol's reticence on other matters, I find it surprising that he'd mention that. Unless the Brother heard about it through other means.
It was common knowledge that Sharon and Tyroll were *ahem* fraternising in the store room all the way back in the mini-series; and I think it would have gotten through the fleet that the Chief's ex was a Cylon as soon as she put a clip in Adama chest. (And wasn't there an episode in season 2.1 where Helo and Tyrol got in a fight when someone called them a pair of toaster-frackers, or something equally classy?) Adama was willing to ignore a serious breech of regulations when he was a commanding a floating museum, Tyrol and Sharon were days away from being re-assigned and his biggest problem was what to have for lunch. You have to be a priest - Cylon or not - to pick up on the gossip that seems to run though the fleet like a mega-dose of laxitives.

In short, he's going to pull a Killer Cain if he doesn't get his own way? Sorry, I don't see that playing out for two reasons - I'm sure Adama remembers the consequences the last time he ordered a de facto military coup against the President. A president, need I remind you, he had to build (and rebuild) a relationship of trust and respect with. Also, I think it goes against his character: He's old school military who really believes the chain of command is sacred, even if he doesn't respect the person he will respect the office. (And there was a throwaway line earlier in the season which showed he didn't think much of President Adar either.) And unlike Admiral Cain, he still believes that the lawful and legitimately elected President of the Twelve Colonies is also the CIC. He also made a deal with Roslin that there was to be a meaningful separation of powers between the President and the Military Command. Would he really throw that out the Leoben Conoy Memorial Cylon Exit because the guy he didn't make out with won?

OTOH, he did conspire with Roslin to assassinate his commanding officer so what the frack do I know? I guess Roslin isn't the only person who might be getting into some morally and ethically dirty waters as the election plays out...

Let's not forget she pulled a "Jack Ruby" on Sharon Valerii and that takes balls. Cally is a tough girl.

I can't understand why Tyrol can't see that she has been his biggest supporter and give the girl some respect. His version of Sharon is dead (Maybe) and he has some who loves him, someone who would kill to get his attention and he still won't give her the time of day. For him to continue ignoring her like that just ain't right.

What the... Nothing says I love you like killing the ex? Now I know the final twist - Kobol wasn't settled by human beings at all but flat-head Klingons! Galen, haven't you learned by now that workplace relationships always end in tears - and lots of blood.

                        :lol
I dunno how tough was it for Cally to shoot at a slim little waif like Sharon, handcuffed, and guarded by huge armed Marines..with a hostile croud THAT was yelling at her. I'd say Sharon was a easy target.. I also felt poor Sharon was at least a easier target than the Armed Cylons on Kobol that Cally refused to kill which got poor Crashdown killed by Baltar instead.

I did feel sorry for Cally when she was beatened though.....but then all I could think about how the Chief looked at Cally when she shot Sharon in front of him. I just wondered if the two events were connected in some way.... But after seeing the episode, I wouldn't think so.

It will be interesting when Galactica Sharon comes onboard, if she and Cally will interact again.

I agree workplace relationships can be bad but with only 49,579 people (god's know how many are women) left in the universe he has a duty to do his part and help raise the numbers on the board. If she killed a Cylon in order to get a shot at the title he should grant her her wish.

I think Tyrol would view it as sleeping with his little sister. I like the idea of Tyrol/Cally, but I don't think it's gonna happen.

Crashdown was in charge and had to think fast in attacking the missile system that the Cylons were building to shoot down the rescue party. Cally's job was to draw
fire for a diversion. Time was ticking and Crashdown didn't have luxury to do nothing. Personally he really needed Cally to help with the diversion...she refused, endangering everyone out of petrified fear.

But I agree, it would have not been safe to shoot Cally in the field... it would have given their position. Crashdown didn't want to shoot Cally...he just didn't see any choice with the dire position they were in..and the rescue party would have been. I don't know the Colonial protocol of soldiers refusing to
follow orders in battle... But apparently Crashdown saw his options falling
                              apart with Cally's behavior.
