You seem to have failed to realize just how many leftists are among the yellow vests...not shirts, vests. The movement as a whole wants higher taxes on the big businesses whom they are blaming for their ills. It's a broad spectrum group that includes both right wing and left wing voters. But many centrists and even moderate right wingers in France believe in the man made climate change. This is a country known for socialist uprisings by peasants btw. Not to mention it can arguably be considered the birthplace of liberalism (in the classical sense and a center of it in the modern sense). You're way off the mark here. But to be fair, it is flawed to try to superimpose American political divisions onto France. They don't work the same way. Even the far right wing Le Pen is further left than Trump (and you) on environmental issues.

Once again, stop assuming that everything in the world is the same as it is here in the US.

Today on my way back home some 7-10 year old kid handed me a brochure entitled ''PRO-CHOICE REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS'' so I was like: way to go kiddo you're ma boi!

So while waiting for the bus I browsed the pamphlet and it was filled with pics of zombie-babies half-eaten or else and then I realized the pamphlet was a bait for the pro-life crowd.

Neither should be done, but as I said before, this is where the discourse is going, and it's not going to chage for the foreseeable future.
