If I got to babysit GF's kids I would just sell them to the hamburger making facilities. Get paid more for the pound then a cheapwad like he would pay for by the hour. But then GF is a Overpaid Stock Boy.... I seriously doubt he has any kids.

Go back about 2 pages and oodles of others beyond and in between previous to that.. There's been pages where nearly the entire page of comments is just dripping with thick, mucky anti-Trump resentment and loaded sarcasms. Sure, morph the initial sarcasms into something else, just to disguise poking at the original, core source. I don't need to repost them here. *you* all know who *you* are.

currently not coming from The Flyattractor, not mad_gater, not Annoyed, and not garhkal.
It *could* be at times aretood2, because you seem to have moved over to the liberal/left's political agenda in recent months, unaware of helping to promote and push those more lefty agendas.. unless you've always been there..
There's a few other folks on here -- most claiming they live somewhere far, far away outside the USA, and yet acting as if they live here, next door.. ..just saying.. UK regional zone, Europe, Australia.. just to name a few of the major league hitters.
If the liberal / leftist agendas didn't have soooooo much muckky dirt embedded in them to hide the core of their shining truth behind and for their agendas, maybe the opposing sides would be more favorable. But since Obama's administration had lots of gov't power controls, they seemed to go overboard, almost to the point of destroying what little was left for struggling homeowners and steady job workers to actually continue hanging on to. California has been the brunt of many jokes, but sadly it seems to be true, that whatever policies and failures happen in California, once those items start (morphing) bleeding into the rest of the country -- then, there goes the rest of the USA.
Did Obama really say, while he was in Indonesia that "Too Much Patriotism Is Bad"..? or
"Obama warns about too much patriotism on 4th of July weekend" (!)..? (from headline news blurbs)
Here is an article about exactly that--
"Why I'm putting the flag out Tuesday (it's not just for the watermelon)"
(by Jacquielynn Floyd, Metro columnist, article in the Dallas News
dated ? July 3, 2017 ?)
Independence Day to some folks is very patriotic, and means freedom and liberty. To many others, it is just another day off from work, with paid vacation time (lots of people will take any day off, even if they disagree with the holiday/occasion it was originally established for). To others, it is both, but take time out to *act* as if they are patriotic, even if it doesn't mean the same (or as much) in their heart as it does to our gov't forefathers and veterans of the many wars fought since 1776.

I have no issue with roughly 270 million Americans, there are about 40 million I disagree with on a purely "way forward" basis, and about 25 million I would not trust to water the lawn. So, less than 10% of them I really have problems with. Unsurprisingly, there is about 10% of Australia's population I would not trust to water the lawn either.

Originally posted by Annoyed View PostAs you may recall, the LSoS embarked upon his "world apology tour" in his first term, basically going around the world apologizing for everything we are and have ever been.
What kind of national leader does that?
Cause I approve of a leader who can admit to the mistakes his/her country made in the past.
If it should be of interest to you, but I live in a country which has a few very dark pages when it comes to its former colony in Africa -- plenty to apologize for too.
You should at least be happy he never apologized for the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
And it seems only his 'critics' were calling it an "apology" tour.
Obama’s ‘apology’ complex
Why this president sees himself as a force for confronting complicated truths about the past.

So I decided to pull it apart and do some repairs/maintenance on it.
Originally posted by SGalisa View PostAbout Obama's constant apologizing over America "this" or "that" -- yep. Almost everywhere he went and any speech he made, constantly apologizing.
Anyhow, I know you're not a big fan of Politifact but I urge you nevertheless the read the article I'm about to link to. Mitt Romney wrote a book No Apology and the subject of the matter, Obama. So Politifact took all of Obama's speeches most relevant to the book's subject and send them off to a wide variety of people all over the political spectrum, from far right to far left, and asked them to read and comment. And they did: Obama's remarks never a true 'apology'

Originally posted by SGalisa View PostBTW, Most of us (USA folks) know Belgium is problematic with refugees, too.. that is where the Paris, France ("radical Muslims") murderers were hanging out. Belgium is a hopping stop over to other countries for the incognito traveling I.S. supporters.
If you must know, none of the attackers were refugees. Thought you may want to set your records straight.
I'm so amused right now.
Yes, resettling the refugees has been a problem, and getting them all the help they need right now. Help them get settled, get their papers in order and make sure they adjust to the country, learn the language, get a job -- it's still an ongoing struggle. But we're dealing with it.
Originally posted by SGalisa View PostFor example, look at September 11, 2001--19 hijackers reshaped the USA probably for the rest of eternity in both physical and emotional aspects by destroying a few buildings and killing a bunch of formerly naive folks on airline flights to their daily destination grinds.
But let's also remember that your new president just finished an armsdeal, which he was boasting about, with the same people who send out 11 of those 19 hijackers, aka Saudi Arabia (also not on the list of dangerous countries).
It also reshaped the middle-east, if you didn't already realize that. You could even say it lead straight to the birth of the Islamic State.

Oppression of opponents?
Threats against companies who do not do his bidding?
You don't mind that he's, quite literally, dragging the reputation of the United States down with him? Why trust a man who will change his mind the next day. Or a country that won't come true after making a promise or a deal
And for the record, you're not out of the Paris deal yet.

Your president doesn't have the first clue about diplomacy, nor does your Sec of State. Every appointee so far confirmed, either actively worked against the agency they are now leading, or haven't the first clue about it. More than half of the positions have not been filled -- embassies across the world do not have an appointed diplomat.
He's made a fool of himself more times than any of us can count. The latest him walking past his car, which is right in front of the freakin' steps of the plane, and the Secret Service guys having to run after him and guide him back to the car. He's not all there.
Or Buzz Aldrin's face in that one videa.... LOL!!!
Or his fabulous line "We just got back from the Middle-East.", and the reaction of the Israeli diplomat attaché -- a literal face!palm. (note: he was in Israel, which is the Middle-East geographically speaking)
Oh, let's not forget his polite push-out-of-the-way of the leader of Montenegro (a country he probably can't point out on a map).

Mijn moedertaal is Nederlands, et je parle un petit peu de Français parce que la Belgique est un pays avec trois langues officiel, und ich spreche auch ein klein bischen Deutsch. And then of course English cause I'm Flemish and we're adaptable like that. *shrug*

Our 4th of July is on the 21st of July, and next week on the 11th of July Flanders celebrates being Flanders, waving our Flemish Lion and singing our anthem (of which I only know two lines of the chorus -- then again, I only know the opening line of the Belgian anthem... ). Also, the 11th isn't a holiday for most of Flanders either.

Yeah, we can read behind the lines.
Too much of anything is bad.
Caring about veterans has nothing to do with it, it's just the usual flag wrapping the Republicans like doing. No party has a monopoly about caring about those who fought and/or died for them.
re: Trump - I agree that a businessman could be a good president since most businessmen are fairly adept at balancing the budgets they run their businesses on....however I'm also sympathetic to the misgivings inherent in having this businessman be the super-rich corporatist type
If I was to vote for a businessman to be president I'd rather it be the kind of businessman adept at running the kind of small businesses that once made this country an economic powerhouse and would also likely have his finger on the pulse of the average citizen's desires and needs and whatnot because of the small business owner's daily interactions with the average citizen customer base

A businessman -could- be a fantastic leader, but people are not dollars. You get them to understand that, for sure they could be great.
But this is not what trump is, in any way shape or form. How long do you think a ......person of his mentality would survive in small business, especially a business that requires direct customer contact? Even his big businesses have for the most part been abject failures. Trump excels in one field only, Branding. Problem is, Brand USA is going down the toilet besides Israel and Russia. Remember, trump has never been a small business owner, He never had the impetus to take the kind of risks or work the time and hours a small businessperson does. He has relied on inheritance, being bailed out by his dad, and legal seperation of himself and his venture when it fails. He's a cloth cut Mafia bully boy.
I'm picturing making a customer service call and getting someone like Trump on the other end....or for that matter me being the rep and him being the customer

But hey, you're welcome to criticise Austrian politics, although I doubt you even know the name of our president without looking him up (hint: it's a new one ). And I assume, whatever happens in Austria has not much influence on world politcs. On the other hand, whatever your child-in-chief says and does has a major impact on the rest of the world. So forgive us that we have our own opinion on things even if we don't live in your country. You might not like other opinions besides your own, but there is still something called freedom of expression/speech, it's even in your constitution. And compared to the hatespeechestweets your president comes up with I think you can take a little bit of sarcasm.sigpic
