The left doesn't want to outlaw all guns everywhere. But it's just too easy to get a gun. Like, that guy in vegas had 30+. The guy recently in texas was known to have problems. But it never factors in when they buy a gun.
I have no idea where you're going with this, or how you got this from my post.
I believe there are questions about how he was legally able to purchase firearms because of his past.
Perhaps you can clarify what you meant by "social divide", then.
Tood, I would not even class it as a left or right issue at this point, the left hasn't managed to do anything about it either.
As I see it liberals have the opposite problem. They are constantly looking for the shiney new oppressed minority and doing way too much without giving things much consideration...then forget about it and move on to the next shiny issue that catches their political ADHD's attention...which yeah, does lead to incomplete action which is just as bad if not worse than inaction. But right now, I see more nonsense from the right than the left.
Boaty McBoatface is taken by a little unmanned submarine, but YES, THEY'RE AT IT AGAIN... Ferry McFerryface is a good, solid name.
Honestly, if you don't want an idiot name being put forward, don't ask the public. Ferry McFerryface is just a riff on the denied name by the poms for their research vessel and as much as people will and have claimed it is "Aussie larrikin-ism", it's actually a sad indictment of our culture. We rip the poms, we rip the yanks, but really, MANY people in Oz -idolize- the respective cultures rather than promoting our own. Being a larrikin is not -copying- another culture.
I am glad common sense reigned in the naming of the other Ferry's.
