Well, today so far I've had one glass of applejuice and I'm nearly through my can of Ice-Tea which is 330ml. I'll probably finish my bottle of coke as well, which is 0,5L.... never going to make it to 4.

The rule of Thumb that I have heard is simply drink water whenever you feel thirsty, or have been sweating or will sweat. It differs per person. A 5'2 120 lb man will need a lot less water than 6'5 280 lb man.
