I wouldn't say that.. London, Dublin and Edinburugh are all on the top 20 vacation spots to visit in europe (london at #3)..

Citytripping isn't spending a week or two weeks vacationing. Those are quick trips, two days, three days tops.

Dublin can be visited in a day, same with Edinburugh. And Dublin is still part of Ireland, not the UK. Though it rains there all the same.

It would only work if Europeans are willing to see themselves as Europeans, and not British, French, Serbians, Turks etc...

Thus it can never work. We are not Europeans, we are French, German, Belgian, Dutch, Irish, Spanish, Portuguese, Swiss, Austrian, British, ... And we're not even that; we're Catalan, Flemish, Scot, Welsh, Friesian, Danish, Britton, .... just to name a few.
