I've been making some too, though not as many as you
I was thinking, as texture-making may be new to several people, it might be helpful and interesting if everyone could very briefly describe how they went about making their textures when they post them. I don't mean anything in-depth and not actual tutorials, just a sentence or two to spark off some ideas.
For example, for mine above, they all use photos as their base, and then a lot of fiddling with the levels/contrast and adding various kinds of blurs to them (gaussian, motion, radial)
The first one is just blurred out flowers, the second is a slightly blurred fabric background and a gradient layer between that and the flowers, the last three are exactly the same - I just played with the final blend settings. They are a combo of a sheet of scratched metal and a slab of marble with a layer of tree branches thrown in.
