New set, with the tutorial to accompany it......

You will need: One pic of your favorite actor/character/person, preferably a clear shot of his/her face



Open your canvas to 700x180.

Place first texture into the canvas. I scaled down until the upper left corner of the texture was visible, using that to add shading. Desaturate.

Open second texture. Set to Soft Light, opacity 100%. Move so that the red/pink is off to the left side of the sig.

Open third texture. Set to Overlay, opacity 100%. I also moved this around quite a lot to get the yellow and red tones at the top of the sig.

Open fourth texture. Set to Lighten Only, opacity 100%. This will leave the writing visible only in the corners and dark areas. Duplicate this layer and move the duplicated layer so that it covers the remainder of the sig. Erase edges so it blends in the center. Don't worry if the lines don't line up perfectly. The pic of your character/person will cover this up nicely.

Open fifth texture (the rose). Don't worry, this isn't going to be girly. Desaturate and set to Darken Only, opacity 25%. Then, move this around until the swirled texture of the petals shows to the left. It adds just a touch of depth to the background. (You can most see it to the left side of my sig, just behind Carson.)

Open the pic of your character/person. Erase the background. If necessary, lighten the pic. Duplicate, and set the duplicated layer to Soft Light, opacity 39%.

Add your text in #1b1313. For the word “Character,” I used Lane Posh. I used Licinia Aged for the rest of it.

And there you go........
