I've tried everything I can think of - logging out and restarting the program, turning off the computer and restarting, trying with my old version of photoshop...I'm going crazy that I can't seem to add text! I don't know what's wrong. It's likely something very simple that I'm overlooking - some setting is off or something. Grrr. Anyway, here's my first challenge entry, sans text "Sooner or later, everyone comes to Babylon 5"
For some reason this is now ringing a very loud bell for me........... if I could just remember exactly what the problem was and what I did about it
As a rider to that, it wood help me enormously if you could all put your names or initials at the beginning of the file names for your challenge entries - it wood save me having to remember to do it when I save and upload them
Mr, yet another beautiful texture! I now have a file named 'Madness textures'
I need you to put your name, initials or whatever you're normally called on here before the final / in the filename. For example, if you normally name a sig something like "MADfriendship", or "Texture18", what I need you to do is name it "JumbleMadfriendship" or "MRtexture18", so that your name is included in the very last part of the filename that comes up here. Like that one ^^ of mine.
Hope that makes sense and I'm not being terribly nit-picky It's just that when I have 50 or 60+ pieces of artwork to copy and upload to PB it takes a lot of extra time if I have to change all the file names so that I know who did what
Oh, but there's absolutely no need to do that! You use the photobucket links of those who submit the pictures. In the PM, right-click the image and select Copy Image URL (in Firefox) or Properties and then copy-paste the URL (in IE). Much less work that way.
Or if you absolutely have to use a new PB account, you can put the poster's name in the title of the picture. Most of us sign our work anyway so it shouldn't be that hard to keep track of who made what...

Thanks, but that doesn't work because we have a PB account for AfA where we upload all the challenge entries and use the links from there. This is partly to store everything in one place, and partly because in the past we've found that artworks disappear from the thread when people move or delete them from their own PB accounts - using the links from the AfA PB guarantees that at least the challenge posts remain intact

Yes I can, which is what I've been doing, but it saves time if the name is in the filename. I'm not going to be pedantic about it, if anybody doesn't want to do it that's fine, but I appreciate it from the people that do
