JW, yeah, so do I. Tried Leverage a few times now but I still prefer Hustle so much more. I love the cleverness there. Nothing against Leverage (you hear me, RiG? It's all your fault!), it's a sweet show to relax after work. Hustle is more subtle I think.

I have to confess my ignorance that Leverage was a version of Hustle. I actually like Leverage and never watched Hustle but now I'm curious. I just think British writers, with all their faults, tend to be less obvious than their Us counterparts. I watch a lot og british shows and european in general.

JW, the definition of Negative Space is when the subject of the art is smaller than the background. Here's an example:

The background--the sky, ocean, etc--is much, much larger than Castle and Beckett.

Perfect couple and scene for a perfect example.

You definetely should. I love Hustle to pieces and am so sad that this show is so underestimated. Funny thing, over here in Germany there's a small Hustle-fanbase, while it seems like US doesn't know that the show exists. Besides, Devlin (creator of Leverage) said before Leverage started, that he was ... uhm ... inspired by Hustle.

With me your irony is fine. I just read in a German forum about Being Human and how awesome the US-show would be instead of the *please note this!* GB REMAKE. I thought WTF? Okay, today I also read Grimm would be a cheap version of OUaT ... never know that Rumpelstilzchen is a prince and OUaT is a crime-show *smirk*.
As far as I know Hustle also airs in US but maybe on a "bad" network or so, as it does over here. Unfortunately there's a contract between BBC and the national network (which nobody with clear mind is watching usually ... except you are 80 years +). I didn't know about the show before I got PayTV some years ago. There I stumbled over Hustle and fell in love with it. Then I learned about Leverage, and that's a sort of remake.

Being Human ( UK version) is a great show. I wasn't in the mood to watch yet another vampire story - there's a ghost and a werewolf, to be precise- but a friend of mine convinced me and I and my sis got hooked. We're only at season three and it's already in season 5 plot spoiler ahead

I always loved the theme of humanity in monsters/ freaks and that is done well in this show. Never watched the US version.

A colleague of mine watches Being Human (US) and says it's good. So, maybe one day I'll check it out.

Good! You hooked me on watching Leverage so I recorded the last episodes which aired over here and watched them. Not sure which season it was but I think one or two are still on a hold.

And all three sigs are great. Sometimes simple is the best way of doing art. How's Emmy?
