Two questions. First, does anyone know why the security of GateWorld keeps failing? I had to go through IE to get in the other day, and even then it said it wasn't recommended. I'm using the latest version of Firefox too, if that helps.

It's an oversight on the site operator's part. This site uses HTTPS, a secure method of transmitting info over the 'net. The web site has a security certificate, issued by a trusted authority, and your browser compares the certificate presented by the web site to a file which says what it should be to verify the site is who it claims to be. It seems that gateworld's certificate expired recently, and this caused browsers to throw warnings, or in firefox's case, refuse to load it at all. The issue was resolved when the site operator renewed their certificate.
