come on...it's not really a zombie show....ask anyone who is into it. It's really about humanity and their last hope and actually it has a BSG rag tag fleet vibe to it. I really honestly think you would like it if you gave it an honest shot. Yes it's kinda gorey at times but it has to be in order for you to get that sense that they are living at the end of the world pretty much. It gives you the gravity of their situation and so I think for me TWD hands down is probably one of the best shows on TV...not counting Game of Thrones which is cable based aka Premium channel.

jel liked the BSG series just not the ending...like most of us. And I was more referring to that "rag tag fleet" feeling more than BSG ....you know that feeling like you have to stick together no matter what...that desperate feeling like you know you are at the end of the world and you are humanities last hope to keep it going...ya know?
