Dalai Lama: ‘Too many’ refugees in Germany, nation ‘cannot become an Arab country’

The Dali Lama told a German newspaper this week that “too many” refugees are heading into Europe.

The Tibetan spiritual leader told Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung that accepting huge number of migrants from the Middle East and North Africa was not a tenable position from a cultural perspective.

“Europe, for example Germany, cannot become an Arab country,” the Dali Lama said, Agence France Press reported Tuesday. “Germany is Germany. There are so many that in practice it becomes difficult. … From a moral point of view, too, I think that the refugees should only be admitted temporarily.”

German Chancellor Angela Merkel welcomed more than 1.1 million refugees into the country last year and was named Time magazine’s 2015 Person of the Year for the decision.

But you can't not have a president. Someone has to fill that role.

                It makes sense.
I mean, you could see it as "un-humanitarian", and it's -easy- to do it, but escaping a culture merely to destroy another is a mistake we have made all too often, and arguably more dangerous.
Refugee's, no matter the stripe should always be a temporary measure, not a solution.

                you can borrow my dog.
You don't deserve a dog after that!!

If Belgium can be without a federal government for a little under a year, I'm sure the US can live without a president for a while.

However, should there be carnage. The media will have plenty to talk about.

Try telling that to CNN, ABC,CBS,NBC, Gannet or any of the other left-biased news organizations. The fact is that most news organizations are heavily biased, to the left.

                      Want an example or two?

Why has the mainstream media given the LSoS a pass on all the shenanigans he has pulled? Such as defying the oath of office he took, undermining the US's place in the world, failing to uphold the Constitution and on and on and on...

Why aren't the mainstream media all over Hillary Clinton regarding her personal email server? A sitting Secretary of state, using an insecure personal email server that the government has no access to or oversight of for official business ?

If that had been a Republican administration/Secretary of State, the media would have had a field day, calling for their head on a platter.

Don't you mean to say that "Media SHOULD NOT MEDDLE IN POLITICS UNLESS IT IS TO FAVOR THE LEFT or try to sway opinion to the right"

Because the vast majority of news media in this country does exactly that.

And now, more questions about Hillary's email server. Yippee!

Clinton IT aide Pagliano to plead Fifth in email case

The man who set up Hillary Clinton’s private email server will assert his Fifth Amendment rights against self-incrimination and refuse to answer questions over an open records lawsuit, according to court documents obtained Wednesday by Fox News.

Bryan Pagliano declined to answer questions from watchdog group Judicial Watch during his deposition scheduled for Monday, according to his lawyers.

His lawyers also asked a federal judge to block Judicial Watch from recording his deposition, stating that a written transcription should be enough.

"Given the constitutional implications, the absence of any proper purpose for video recording the deposition, and the considerable risk of abuse, the Court should preclude Judicial Watch, Inc. (“Judicial Watch”) from creating an audiovisual recording of Mr. Pagliano’s deposition," they wrote.

His lawyers added that videotaped depositions "pose a serious danger to deponents invoking the Fifth Amendment."

Pagliano, who worked on Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign before helping install the so-called “homebrew” server system in her Chappaqua, N.Y. home, cut an immunity deal last fall with the Justice Department amid the FBI probe. He was recently described to Fox News by an intelligence source as a “devastating witness.”

In the fall, Pagliano told at least three congressional committees in the fall that he will invoke the Fifth Amendment to avoid testifying against Clinton. He was asked to testify about the serve by the House Select Committee on Benghazi, the Senate Judiciary Committee and the Senate Homeland Security Committee.

The Washington Post reported in September 2015 that Pagliano had been subpoenaed by the Benghazi committee Aug. 11 and committee chairman Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C. had ordered that he appear for questioning Sept. 10. Gowdy also demanded that Pagliano provide documents related to all servers or computer systems controlled or owned by Clinton between 2009 and 2013.

The Post reported in August 2015 that Pagliano had worked as an IT director on Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign, and was asked to oversee the installation of Clinton’s server to handle her correspondence while secretary of state. He was paid by a political action committee tied to Clinton until April 2009, when he was hired by the State Department as an IT specialist.

According to the paper, Pagliano left government service in February 2013 and now works for a technology contractor that provides some services for the State Department.

Lawyers for senior Clinton aide Cheryl Mills, during a nearly five-hour deposition last week in Washington, repeatedly objected to questions about Pagliano’s role in setting up the former secretary of state’s private server.

According to a transcript of the deposition with Judicial Watch released on Tuesday, Mills attorney Beth Wilkinson – as well as Obama administration lawyers – objected to the line of questioning about Pagliano, who has emerged as a central figure in the FBI's ongoing criminal probe of Clinton's email practices.

Clinton, the Democratic presidential frontrunner, has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing related to her private server.
Now, I'm not a lawyer, nor do I play one on TV, but it is my understanding that if a witness is granted immunity, he cannot plead the 5th amendment right to not testify against himself.

So how come the government is letting him plead the 5th?

You do realise that if Clinton can't run, Bernie will run in her stead and your favored candidate Trump doesn't stand a chance in hell against him, do you.

Hillary vs Trump is too close to call at this point. There is a good chance Hillary will win.
Trump vs Sanders, I think Trump has the upper hand.

But even if he doesn't. I would rather see Col. Sanders in the White House than Hillary.

We don't know who would win, Trump or Sanders. Since he's not the candidate, this matchup is not being tracked closely by the media. Yes, you can find polls that say Sanders will win, but Trump has never been predicted to get as far as he has, so I don't think any polls concerning him should be taken as gospel.

But I'm hedging my bet here, Yes, I would rather see Trump in the White House this January. Particularly with the SCOTUS in play. But he is a wild card, and it's quite possible he might miscalculate one of his foot in mouth incidents, and hand the keys to the Democratic nominee. If that does happen, I would rather see Sanders instead of Hillary.
