Come on Coco, did you honestly think Labour had a chance in hell of victory in September? put aside the campaigns that they both run, Labour shot itself if the face with all the flip flopping and leadership debacles with Rudd. I knew they were going to loose, it was just a question of by how much.

They had no hope in hell because of a lot of internal infighting. I viewed that is totally disgraceful conduct.

And yeah my mistake about the two parties thing. I viewed the Liberals as a whole, as one party even though they're made up of a coalition of parties / groups. As for the Greens they can go suck on rocks...

It's a pity the Democrats totally imploded and are no longer a party. Don Chip would have rolled in his grave to know the party he founded had gone the way of dodos.

Yeah I think it's an interesting thing. I mean most political parties fight internally but this was just so broad and public. It was really disheartening to think these muppets can run the country if they get in office. At least with the LNP they keep their internal fighting so quiet no one hears about it.

As far as the article says, they'd just call and ask for the filter to be removed and they can indulge their inclinations as much as they wish...as long as they aren't about rape or minors.

I think Coco was trying to more point out the disturbing trend in the world to so easily give up our rights. If you think about it, this is a situation where your rights are being taken away, and you have the *option* of getting them back, and that should simply not be the case. Is the example "trivial" in this case, sure, but what happens when it is not? I know it's the "ye aulde slippery slope" argument, but should it not be made when you are talking about freedom?

I think we are all on a slippery slope, no matter where we are, and we all have a place where we say NO, unfortunately this is not the place i say it, and the government have never trusted us, they are smarter and richer than us lowly types
But i do understand what you are saying
