have you all od'd on valium or something?
Mueller stated in the report, and now in congress that trump would have been indicted if he were not the POTUS, and (if) he leaves before croaking, he still can be.
Made no difference when the report came out, makes no difference now.sigpicALL THANKS TO THE WONDERFUL CREATOR OF THIS SIG GO TO R.I.G.A lie is just a truth that hasn't gone through conversion therapy yetThe truth isn't the truth

tbh my expectations were about the same as for the report
question is will there ever be a real independent investigation (Trump first has to be ousted)
The spine of congress to act on it however?sigpicALL THANKS TO THE WONDERFUL CREATOR OF THIS SIG GO TO R.I.G.A lie is just a truth that hasn't gone through conversion therapy yetThe truth isn't the truth

In case you haven't noticed, the Democrats are setting themselves up to shoot themselves in an uncomfortable place just as bad or worse than they did in 2016.
The Repubs are just bowing to an autocrat.
Sometimes shooting yourself is a good thing.
They can keep on keepin' on. If you recall, I root for the other team.sigpicALL THANKS TO THE WONDERFUL CREATOR OF THIS SIG GO TO R.I.G.A lie is just a truth that hasn't gone through conversion therapy yetThe truth isn't the truth

The Democrats are continuing to attack simply for political reasons. Heck, we've got about 90 of em who have stated they are in favor of impeaching Trump even if he has committed no crime simply because they don't agree with him.
Looking at it strategically, I can understand their desperation. Our economy is doing better than it has in decades, for ALL classes, including the working class. Unemployment is at record lows. Many lower / middle income folks have benefited from his tax reform plan.
Historically, it's nearly impossible to oust an incumbent under these conditions.
Add to that the far left pull of many Democrats, many outright advocating socialism, the Democrats putting the interests of illegal immigrants ahead of those if actual US citizens, and the intramural squabbling among themselves (they're eating themselves alive), and Trump's re-election in 2020 is almost a sure bet. And they might lose the house again, too.
So they're desperate.

remember i said "both sides"
this is yet one more example of how when a dem says something dems support it, repubs oppose it, when a republican says the same thing, dems oppose it, repubs support it

Trump is full of it, no matter his party, and you are too stupid to understand my problem with that.sigpicALL THANKS TO THE WONDERFUL CREATOR OF THIS SIG GO TO R.I.G.A lie is just a truth that hasn't gone through conversion therapy yetThe truth isn't the truth

His crime IS obstruction, same as Clinton, and the rebubs did the right thing by moving on impeachment

Thing is, it takes YEARS of economic policy to affect the economy in terms of "average joe"
Historically, it's nearly impossible to oust an incumbent under these conditions.
You, liked your party have no balls to challenge trump, and because you have no balls, trump remains the image of the repubs.

Anyone who knows a scrap about economic/Democratic socialism KNOWS it's not "free stuff for all", it's paid for via higher tax, or offsets till you can afford to pay and still survive.
We know it's not "free shiznit" You don't.sigpicALL THANKS TO THE WONDERFUL CREATOR OF THIS SIG GO TO R.I.G.A lie is just a truth that hasn't gone through conversion therapy yetThe truth isn't the truth

His polices were all about restricting and regulating the economy, particularly energy policy, which is crucial to our economy.
And it's been 9 years since Obama's ideas could get through congress. He lost the house in 2010, and the senate in 2014. As you folks on the left are supremely grateful for at this time, a divided govt. results in gridlock, neither party can advance its agenda all that much.
It doesn't really matter a great deal anyway; people vote their pocketbooks. Joe voter looks at his paycheck & general circumstances. If he's doing ok, wages have gone up, he's taking more home, he's gonna vote for the incumbent. And most working class stiffs like myself are doing better under Trump than they were under Obama.

Trump is his own breed; also if you recall, the national party didn't really want him all that much, they opposed him. The only way he got nominated was the rank and file party members spoke loud and clear during the primaries for 2016.

America might be ready for democratic socialism. It’s not ready for the bill.
The squad of idiots has proposed taxes on rich folks to pay for their pipe dreams. Look farther down in the piece I linked to the section on paying for it (which lefties love to ignore). The piece estimates 37% increases on payroll taxes for the middle class. And even that won't be enough!
Do you think that anyone who works for a living is gonna vote for someone who advocates that pipe dream?

Obstruction of justice is not tied to the Russia probe you simpleton. Clinton got impeached by the house for lying about sex, a totally legal act.

that said might wanna ease it with the ad hominem Annoyed may be severely misguided but at least he doesn't call others names (AFAIK)Last edited by SoulReaver; 25 July 2019, 05:37 PM.
