Favourite bands, eh?

Metallica - Any album, bar St. Anger. "Master of Puppets" is a masterpiece, "Justice" is so complex it's unbelievable and "Ride the Lighting" is just fantastic... especially "Fade To Black".

Slayer - The early stuff's best but their new material isn't as bad as some make out IMO. Angel of Death. Awesome riff. Thrash metal at it's finest. I can't wait 'till the 80's tourney.

Trivium - Any, and all.

Lynyrd Skynyrd - Simple Man is probably my favourite. Although, Tuesday's Gone, Freebird and That Smell are also quality.

Among others.

That version's good, but i prefer the original. There's also a Deftones version which is quality, but again, the original is the daddy IMO.

agreed nothing like the original ... but i do like shinedown's vocals .... they are true to the song .... they of course don't have the musical skills to compare ... missing the sound to back it imo ...

had never heard this one b4 .... don't think it has the vocals ... but some nice guitar to it!! but neither can compare to skynyrd ... course living in the south .... well one is wise to never question the talents of skynyrd ... they are the ummmm how do you say it .... they are southern rock in its truest form!!! its a cultural thing ...

not a reb in the southern sense of the word ... but some things are worth succuumbing to the peer pressure of!!
