GW Babe's Fave Song Tourney ~ Super Sonic Sixties 64/65
I Will Lift My Eyes
Written by Bebo Norman and Jason Ingram
Spoiler:
God, my God, I cry out
Your beloved needs You now
God, be near, calm my fear
And take my doubt
Your kindness is what pulls me up
Your love is all that draws me in
I will lift my eyes to the Maker
Of the mountains I can’t climb
I will lift my eyes to the Calmer
Of the oceans raging wild
I will lift my eyes to the Healer
Of the hurt I hold inside
I will lift my eyes, lift my eyes to You
God, my God, let Mercy sing
Her melody over me
God, right here all I bring
Is all of me
‘Cause You are and You were and You will be forever
The Lover I need to save me
‘Cause You fashioned the earth and You hold it together, God
So hold me now

If I never reply to something you said to me, it doesn't mean I'm ignoring you, it means I'm lazy and the thread moves too fast. . It's all explained here. Well, one part anyhow My LibraryThing.
Just sharing You might like it ... I could definitely dance to it. It's music like this that made me wish I COULD dance!!!

Holy tights Batman! That took sega! It was a nightmare trawling through all those posts checking to see who had seconded, AitH, or TFO'd the single votes.
ETA: ainty, GG. I've included Clint Eastwood, by The Gorillaz as my Ace in the Hole. Can you include a song that wasn't on the lists?
my current boss tis a girl!!! she is a charm though just can't get her to succumb to my "Wile E" ways!!!

That song was very fitting for me right now, too. My very good friend and church pastor died yesterday. He had a brain aneurism. He was only 53. There were, of course, a few silver linings....the biggest one being that his family donated his organs to help others (they don't tell how many people or who was helped, but I would assume at least 4 or 5 other people could be getting a new lease on life today because of him). Anyway, thanks for the song. (I didn't listen to it yet, I just read the words.)
(((Callista))) sorry to hear that! That's a wonderful thing he did tho...
This song has already been second. GG, you need to fix this. Kliggins seconded. I only know this for sure because I posted a link for the song right after Kilggins seconded it.
I just heard this for the first time ... It is super cute and I love the beat
My friend showed my the lyrics but I'd never heard it before.
