Uhhh... the vast majority of the people you'll be dealing with are as white as you are. Remember, they're mostly from a Irish/English background. Most of the Asians who emigrated to Aus are on the Eastern side. If I had that opportunity, I'd soooo jump at it! Western Aus is beautiful... from what I've been told. It's the only place in Aussieland that I'd like to see but haven't had a chance yet. You'd litterally be on the opposite side of the planet from ME! And it's not 40 degrees all year long either... that's just summer.
