rofl!! thanks guys basically he set us an impossible assignment which is really hard to do based on what he's taught us so far. infact from what I've asked people who know about visual basic I need to know how to use arrays for the assignment he's set us otherwise I'm going to end up writing a very inefficient code which involves writing a zillion lines I've asked him for help but he's refusing to help on the last question!
