To tell you the truth, I had a lousy week. This episode didn't help. The only thing that made anything better was that they

got the capabilities, perhaps, to be able to broadcast to the country. That, and, of course, the fact that Tom and Rachel seem to be coming to a better understanding. Maybe? They also lost the sailor KIA on the platform. I didn't catch his name, though. <<sadface>>

Nah. Mind control would take all the fun out of it. It probably has something to do with the type of show it is, too.

I like at least 6-8 other shows and nothing emotional in them has made me get weepy. So I have to assume it has something to do with the show and the navy and the worldwide plague and the cast.

I don't see anything wrong with escapist fiction. With my hectic life, I can use something else to obsess about from time to time.

Escapism is not the same as getting angry that a character dies. I loved watching Stargate but I didn't get angry when they killed Frasier.
