About the "copy of copy of copy of..." thing, I think if they keep an "original" cell, and make copy out of it, then all the copies are just F1, so they don't fade or anything like it, right?
Sorry for my English, English is not my mother language, I hope you can understand what I mean.
BTW, do we have any Thor avatar in our avatar database, I can't find any

That`s what I`ve been saying all the time, they wont clone a copy, they just need to clone the original.

The asgards dont have sex, therefore the genetic fading shouldnt be a problem.

And as you said, mankind need diversity, we are talking about an alien race.
Biologically speaking, there`s no need for diversity.

If you stop to think, it`s possible that they all use the same body template. As the only difference we could notice is the voice, which isnt only determined by genetics.
