Thanks so much for answering my questions. New doc scoop-SQUEE! And the zat--It’s just one of those things that would throw me out of suspension of disbelief–never a good thing for fiction, especially sci-fi. I’ll know now to just roll with it.

To press my luck:
So I understand you’re dealing with Arthurian legend in season 9. Do you think Sky/SciFi/other PTB would pay for you and cast/crew to visit Broadway for “Spamalot”? Purely for research purposes, of course.
(Kidding! SG1's running humor makes me think you guys appreciate Python. This is not a suggestion to include coconuts or other such zaniness in SG1).

OK, a serious question.
Giving EXAMPLES (pretty please), since your work is a collaborative process, have there been times that you’ve been surprised at how different a finished product turned out from the script, or on the other hand, have there been times an episode worked exactly as you had originally envisioned it in your mind’s eye?

From stuff all over the forums, I've got some ideas about the start of SG1 season 9 and SGA season 2. Can you give me some idea whether I'm on the right track or not?

Spoiler:

SG-1, minus Jack, are on Deadalus when it goes to Pegasus. They'll arrive during 201 - 'The Siege, pt 3'. Hammond will be with them as well.

Hammond will be killed, probably going out in a blaze of glory while saving the city of Atlantis.

The ZPM is used to send some personnel and some stuff back to Earth. Daniel and Teal'C will go back to Earth in this manner, but Carter has to stay to help fix Deadalus.

Once fixed, the Deadalus will take about a month or two to fly through hyperspace back to Earth, thus forcing a new commanding officer to be selected for SG-1.

Please give me some idea of how right or wrong I am.

Sorry to be not asking a question here, but Alpha, he's trying to say that your assuming that each season is a year, in that case it would be 6 years, but, I think he's saying that each season does not equate to exactly a year. Which explains the "4 years" comment, ok?

In Season 5 there was an episode called 2001. I have a strong feeling that that episode (and Season), took place in, yep, you guessed it, 2001, three years after Season 2. Jack also mentions Daniel being a pain in the butt for the past 5 years. So unless Season 6, 7 and 8 all happened within the same year, the 4 year comment from Threads doesn't make a lick of sense.

1. Will Nem, from Fire and Water, and Aris Boch, from Deadman's Switch, return for some un-cliche` plot twists (no sarcasm intended, in fact the "un-cliche` plot twists" are what drew me to the series in the first place and...I'm still here!).

2. Will the Nox finally let down their facade of peaceful "hippie ideals" and attempt to kick some ass?

Will the UST storyline arc between Jack and Sam continue in Season 9?
