Devastating, that's an under statement. A rapid fire Railgun shooting 600 Ton bullets. It would blow up a planet in no time.

    Fav Stargate Quotes

    Spoiler:
Thanks! It'll be a walk in the park ... a very scary park, filled with monsters who are trying to kill me.

    I like the yellow ones.

Operation "This Will Most Likely End Badly" is a go.

I wonder if the Daedalus could just beam away enemy projectile weapons. The Beliskner was shown to have teleporters similar to Wraith culling beams. Maybe the Daedalus could alter its teleporters to work the same way and just point it in the direction where enemy projectile weapons are coming from and then rematerialize right back at the enemy.

Not allowing the Daedalus to beam a warhead on the Pillar of Autumn is one thing but not allowing them to use beams at all is just not fair.

I agree. It's a hallmark technology of the Stargate universe. That'd kinda like saying that the Pillar of Autumn can't use the MAC.

And whatever the case, the Daedalus wins; put a Gatebuster in a cloaked jumper, fly it up right next to the Autumn's bridge... detonate.

I stand corrected. But still, no beaming nukes.

True, true. But no beaming onboard the PoA

Oh, come on. A jumper isn't part of the Daeddy compliment. U can't use it!!!

Actually, the Daedalus does carry some jumpers, but has a smaller F-302 count because of that.

Also, I'm pretty sure a Gatebuster would be overkill against the POA. Actually, you could probably detonate the thing some distance from it (possibly outside it's PD range) and cripple the ship.

Can't the Deadalus close to point blank range and open up with all its missiles to avoid the point defence.
Robert Jastrow (self-proclaimed agnostic): "For the scientist who has lived by his faith in the power of reason, the story ends like a bad dream. He has scaled the mountains of ignorance; he is about to conquer the highest peak; as he pulls himself over the final rock, he is greeted by a band of theologians who have been sitting there for centuries."

As long as it dodges the MAC cannon it should be fine

All it has to do is land on top and open up weapons while the shields soak up the PDW and then you are fine

Or instead of these elaborate schemes, couldn't the Daedalus just lock its rail guns onto the bridge and open up with a few rounds?

Agreed all the deddy has to do is lock in on the glass bridge and open up

The whole command crew is killed off and the ship is then crippled

Not to mention that the rounds would have no armour to penetrate, thus would devastate the ship's interior far beyond the bridge. They'd tunnel a hole right through the ship.

+1 no more POA. A cool ship but that bridge is just a bad idea.

No its not. Cortana (or the resident AI) can assue full control. Look at TF, Cortana is the one doing all the fighting
