Here are some hints:

Stock shape? Best way to distinguish between old recycled Air Force Carbines and new tactical machinery.

Check the flash suppressor, what it looks like is important.

On the upper, I am the only person in my unit to have it. Its not standard issue and Colt would have a conniption if they knew I had it.

Are you some sort of "unofficial" field tester for the new Colt APC?

i think you mean ACR and no the ACR has a much different flash suppressor.

God no. Colt would never let actual soldiers test their guns.

Out of interest, anyone seen the lastest incarnation of the L85 our lads are hoofing about with? The sort of stripped down version that doesn't look like a lump of plastic with a barrel?

I havn't got a chance to play with one yet as they are only for active units apparently...........

Upper has been found out - it an HK416. The lower is still a throw up though. Here is another hint: its the standard weapon of Special Forces, but I'll be picky about it.

I have seen the new fore end by Daniel Defense but I haven't gotten to play around with it yet. The Grip-Pod is great though, I've messed around with them on AR15 variants.

Personally, I'm a fan of the TR-116 "Sniper Rifle." Anything that can literally shoot through walls is all right with me.
