The Tardis with Dr. Who? I'm pretty sure that a ship that can travel both space and time is more then a match for the Andromeda

The problem with the Ascendant is that it's so chock-full of hyperadvanced, hyper-long-range technology, that any massive ship is just a target for plasma-fying.

the entire Eclipse would be slugged long before it would have fired a single volley at the Ascendant.

Uh, it does have shields, armor and gravity well generators. In the Star Wars universe they have really advanced and powerful gravity manipulating technology, it would probably use those to stop the plasma bolts. As well as the tractor beams, which can be used defensively and I do not know what range its own weapons have but it does shoot lasers. One discharge from its super laser would destroy Andromeda I believe. Its own super laser is around 1/3 the power of the Daath Stars laser, which is around 10^34 joules.

I've been rewatching Andromeda over the past few days (yay for netflix). The only thing Andromeda needs a human crew for is essentially travelling in slipstream, everything else is automated. However, it is not the most powerful ship in the Andromeda universe (such as the world ship or the Wrath of Achilles). What I don't get from the end of series 1, Andromeda could have moved and missed the PSP projectile and when it's moving towards the artificial sun it's easily dodging the PSP projectiles before it fires the nova bomb.

When you have a ship that can react to weapons being fired at high rel, the chances of anything hitting it are very small. Drones might hit it, but probably not enough to destroy it. From the ST universe, probably the 8472 ship has the best chance of hitting it and may destroy it using the "multiple ship, single beam" weapons that's used against the Borg planet, the first time we see them. Besides that I can't see anything from the SW universe or the BG universe that could defeat Andromeda.

Indeed.

The problem is that Andromeda is literally more maneuverable than a TIE fighter, actually, it's a lot more maneuverable, considering it has capital grade engines and masses under a kilo.

The same mass lightening tech is present on it's missiles, which means they dodge, and seeing the effectiveness of the PD systems against rebel fighters doesn't fill me with confidence when it comes to shooting down photon torpedo sized targets that can accelerate at a rate several orders of magnitude higher.

So it really comes down to whether the Andromeda's RKKS arsenal will run out before it takes down the Eclipse's shields. How much megatonage are they rated for?

Would have to do some research and math, but a super Star destroyer can be in combat for literally hours well being pelted by turbolaser shots, which range from 250 terajoules to 2000tj to 6700, heavy laser cannons may even go all the way up to 31,000 tj. These numbers based off nickle/iron asteroids being vaporized.

It took the efforts of a storm of both lightside and darkside force energy to eventually destroy it. It could stand against the entire Republic fleet by itself, never mind its escorts.

Two words- Centerpoint station. The only device directly more powerful then Centerpoint I can think of is a weapon from the DW universe. But that device is only useful for destruction, well Centerpoint has other applications, as does the Star forge, which I would put as = to Centerpoint.

Not really, not unless it can actually put them to good use. One does not make a warship by putting AEGIS on a fishing boat.

edit: There's also one problem with the shield figures as I understand them, they're for EM shields, not the kinetic shields, which are what we want in this case.

In addition to its firepower, the Eclipse's armor and shields were so powerful that it could ram enemy ships without any risk of taking damage.

It also has its gravity well projectors.
