Oh wait i remember what its called. Its the TAW-50. Mach 50 is like 38,000 mph.

    Best Stargate quote:
Sheppard: (yells to McKay) Canadian football is a joke! Celine Dion is overrated! Zelenka is smarter than you are!

I'm reasonably certain that 38,000 mph is fast enough to break orbit.
The success or failure of your deeds, does not add up to the sum of your life. Your spirit cannot be weighed! Judge yourself by the intentions of your actions, and by the strength with which you faced the challenges that have stood in your way. The Universe is so vast, and we are so small, there is only truly one thing we can control; whether we are good or evil... -Oma Desala

Science proceeds so fast that who knows what we'll discover next. Who could imagine leveling a city with one bomb 80 years ago? Yet we can do it, or flying faster than sound. It's incredible to think how far we've achieved and yet how much more there is that we can do.
Thats right our technological advancments increase exponentially, faster computers allows faster research and the more people their is mor can become scientist.

I think that was one ability "they" (the military/airforce) wanted it to have, to be able to leave the atmosphere and then come back again.
