          Alyssa Milano commits to 'Boyfriend'
Will star in, produce romantic comedy

NEW YORK -- Alyssa Milano will weave a spell on the big screen.

The former "Charmed" star has signed on to star in and produce "My Girlfriend's Boyfriend," a romantic comedy in which she plays a woman with a relationship dilemma.

Beau Bridges, Michael Landes, Christopher Gorham and Carol Kane round out the rom-com's cast.

Milano will play an outgoing woman who meets two seemingly ideal men in quick succession -- a struggling novelist (Gorham) and successful ad exec (Landes) -- and must decide between them. Daryn Tufts will direct from his own script.

The CAA-repped Milano will produce via her Peace by Peace Prods. shingle, which is aiming to ramp up feature development and production.

Fiftyfilms' Rick McFarland will also produce, and Joseph Pia and Nate Jones will exec produce.

CAA packaged the indie, which is set to begin shooting this summer.

Milano produced her hit television show "Charmed," but "Boyfriend" marks one of her first feature projects as a producer. The star also recently had a recurring role on NBC's "My Name Is Earl" as well as the buzz ABC pilot "Romantically Challenged."

Gorham stars in CBS limited series "Harper's Island," and Landes next stars in Sarah Michelle Gellar-toplined supernatural tale "Possession." Both are repped by CAA.

                  Yikes!

How come for a famous guy it's "steel-colored hair" when for me it would just be plain old gray?

I saw in TV Guide that Jamie Ray Newman (Cadman) will be on Eureka. Not sure of the dates yet.

                      Eureka begins July 10th.

Jamie Ray Newman, whom you may either know from Veronica Mars or as Alexis' prematurely snuffed sister on General Hospital, has landed the recurring role of Dr. Tess Fontana.

Tess is described as a "brilliant engineer and astrophysicist who sees things differently than those around her... putting her at odds with the mainstream scientific community." Allison, having known this out-of-the-box thinker since grad school, puts her to work on a super-confidential Global Dynamics project. Dr. Fontana in short order will find herself spending time with — and eventually positioned as a love interest for — Colin Ferguson's Jack. (My apologies to Jo fans who thought by "sidekick" I meant "partner in policework"; Erica Cerra is A-OK.)

We'll meet Tess in the third episode when Eureka resumes its Season 3...
