Chelsea Handler, a comedienne by trade, is putting it all out there. All of it. As in, nakedness, in this month's Allure magazine. "I mean, why not be naked?" she laughs.

It's a rhetorical question, of course, when you're gorgeous.

However exposed she may be, Handler, 34, finds herself sitting pretty right about now. Her late-night cable talk show, "Chelsea Lately," was just renewed through 2012 on the E! Entertainment Network. Her collection of essays, "Are You There Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea," has been on the New York Times best-seller list for 37 weeks, and she recently won a Bravo A-List award pronouncing her "A-List Funny," whatever that means.

... Known as intimidating to her guests, Handler isn't afraid to outsmart anyone, male or female. There's no tact-checking or softball questions. And that icky feeling you get when a guest pushes his or her own agenda doesn't happen when you watch "Chelsea Lately."

... Or take "Stargate Atlantis" star Joe Flanigan, whom she put on the spot. "Do you know that you're good looking?" she asked him as he visibly blanched. Handler then praised his ability to be a convincing actor given the subject matter, "because acting like you're on a spaceship is kind of ridiculous."

Well...Hello There....

Where does the time go? It seems like just yesterday I was screaming down the snow covered peeks on my snowboard. Now I'm dragging out my last seasons flip flops wondering, what happened to this strap? Happy Spring Gaters!

The last few months have flown by in a whirlwind of appointments, deadlines and all niters. I've spent much of the last few months planting the seeds of creative adventures in hopes something will root and grow. The entertainment industry here has taken a couple of hard blows, not to mention the global economy, yikes, and the silver lining.....time to develop those long forgotten daydreams.

I haven't forgotten you though. I was given a chance to speak at the last Creation convention here in Vancouver and was able to reconnect with many of you. I was delighted to see many familiar faces and meet new ones, engaging in old stories and sharing the new. This experience inspired me to write and thank you for your continued support, well wishes and all around general commitment to THE QUEEN! haha

Manager Alex Cole, formerly of the Firm and Nine Yards Entertainment, has launched Elevate Entertainment, a full-service management company that includes talent, literary and reality departments as well as a development and production arm.

In representation, the company is 80-20 split between acting and writing/directing clients. Its talent roster, shepherded by founder-president Cole, includes Vinnie Jones, "Tron" co-star Serinda Swan, Jimmy Jean Louis ("Heroes"), Hannah Taylor Gordon, Karim Seleh, Myanna Buring and Justin Louis...

Former Stargate SG-1 star Michael Shanks told SCI FI Wire that he's busy with a wide variety of projects, including a dramatic TV movie, a pilot with Donald Sutherland and Jacqueline Bisset and, of course, a Stargate adventure.

Shanks spoke exclusively with SCI FI Wire last week about his slate; following is an edited version of that interview. Stargate Universe debuts with a two-hour premiere in October on SCI FI. (Spoilers ahead!)

Let's start with Stargate Universe. It's official that you're in it, along with your former Stargate SG-1 cast mates Richard Dean Anderson and Amanda Tapping, so tell us what you're up to.

Shanks: I can't talk so much about the details of what I do or anything like that, but it's obviously a very different show than the previous Stargates. There are some darker elements to it. It's visually stunning. Great cast. And I really look forward not only to seeing it [completed, with finished visual effects], but also the audience's reaction to it. It's not your father's Stargate. It's a very different kind of show. It won't be quiet on the bulletin boards is the best way to put it.

THUMBNAIL SYNOPSIS
A young man’s mysterious disappearance tests the frayed relationships among his nine closest friends. Reunited for their annual night of fun and debauchery, the group must unravel the secrets behind his absence to save the tradition and their friendships from disaster.


FILM SYNOPSIS
The Last New Year is the story of the “Fools and *******s Club,” a diverse group of twenty-somethings who share one thing in common – each other. In high school, ten friends made a pact that every New Year’s Eve they would reunite to celebrate. After eight years what had started as a simple house party developed into a sacred tradition, and, although the friends had grown apart, the annual event always brought them back together.

But this New Year’s Eve things are different. One of the group’s core members, Rich, has mysteriously disappeared leaving his girlfriend, Penny, his best friend, William and the rest of the group clueless as to what happened, where he is, or if he is even still alive. Most assume he’s dead and, despite the shadow of their loss and the mystery that surrounds his disappearance, the group valiantly attempts to keep the party going. For many, the stress is too much to bear and old friendships, once unquestionable, are put to the test. As the friends begin spiraling into anger and blame, it soon becomes clear that this may be the club’s last official meeting.

At the center of the drama are Penny and William and a secret love affair that could easily tear “The Fools and *******s” apart for good. When they learn their secret may be linked to their friend’s disappearance, they must decide what is more important: keeping the truth to themselves or keeping the group together.

Disney conjures up more "Wizards"

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – The Disney Channel is grooming "Wizards of Waverly Place" as its next blockbuster tween franchise in the mold of "High School Musical" and "Hannah Montana."

The cable channel has picked up a third season of the hit comedy series starring Selena Gomez and has unveiled an original telefilm, "Wizards of Waverly Place The Movie," to premiere in August.

"Wizards," which co-stars David Henrie, Jake T. Austin, Jennifer Stone, Maria Canals-Barrera and David DeLuise and centers on the three Russo siblings who have wizard powers, ranked in April as the No. 2 scripted series across all cable and broadcast television channels among tweens (viewers 9-14 years old).

Set to premiere in August, the "Wizards" movie follows the Russo kids as they embark on a vacation at the Caribbean resort where their parents met...
